Teen mistakenly deported to Columbia

A teenage girl from dallas ran away from home in 2010 and has been missing since then. She had lived in Houston and worked at a DJ club under a different name. She was arrested for theft and told the police that she was an adult from columbia who had no legal status in the US. so they freely transported her to columbia.

I'm surprised that she could get away with this without them going into further detail to find out who she actually was. what do you think about this?

  • This is completely the governments fault i think. Did they give her a chance to speak up and tell them that it wasn't her real name? Why Columbia? Was there someone else with that name in Columbia or what? That just doesn't make much sense.
  • wow that girl is crazy why would you run away in the first place and why would you lie about what country you live
  • oh wow! it was her fault that she got deported to columbia! she should have done a back-round check on her
  • wow. this makes the governmet look really stupid. and it makes the girl stupid too. I cant believe she got away with this.. She shouldnt have told them she was from Columbia. What did she think was gunna happen? stupid.... but its kinda funny.
