How would you react if you were the parent of this child and the police had this mans DNA in the system?
I would kind of feel betrayed by the system, and feel like they weren't doing their jobs right. I would also feel as if it was their fault they I could never see my daughter again.
If you had a chance to find thiis man the year before he did this would you? Why or why not?
I would because It would make me feel as if I am doing the best to protect my family and that I'm doing the best at my job that I could.

If I were the parent of this child, I would feel outraged. They had the DNA to check for matches, but they didn't even bother! Because of the choice they made, a child was left dead in the water.
I would definitely be upset that they weren't using all the information that they had. I think that they could've done more with what they had. I think that I would because I need to do the best that I could.
I would definitely have taken the chance to stop this man a year pryer if I had the opportunity to do so. A young girl would still have a full life ahead of her and her family wouldn't be grieving the loss of a loved one
If this was my daughter who had been taken and killed and the police could have done something to find her alive and prevent this entire situation completely, I would be very upset and angry at the police. I feel like any child's parent would feel like this.
I would most defininetly be infuriated that, if someone did their job right, it could have saved my daughter. I would find the man and make sure he is locked up so he can't hurt anyone.
I agree with you in that I'd also be very angry at the police do to the fact that if one of them had not made the mistake, your daughter would still be alive. This situation is very tragic and hard to believe is real.
I would be furious that someone didn't do there job correctly that might have saved my daughter, especially if I didn't get an answer until a year later. I would make sure he was arrested and locked up for a while.
I think that it is really unbelievable that it took the police an entire year to respond. I know that there are a lot of cases and problems within a police station but it seriously needs to be better organized than this.
I don't think that anything could have prevented this, if someone has that crazy of an idea in their mind, they are going to probably do it no matter what. Now, would it have been less likely to happen? Yes it would've, but I don't think that it could've prevented it.
That is also very true, if that man is very accurate on what he is planning to do he probably will not stop if he hears the cops are looking for him he will continue until the child is sadly dead.
