On November 1st, 2022, Taylor Swift announced that she will be touring the US. She originally had 27 shows, then added an extra 25, due to her high demand of tickets. Over 3.5 million fans registered for a verified fan program, and only 2.5 million people were given a presale code. The remaining 1 million fans that had signed up, had to wait till her public sale. Her tickets went on presale on November 15th, 2022. When the tickets were on presale many fans had to wait many hours in the Ticketmaster queue. Ticketmaster crashed and it took 3+ hours for it to come back. When they finally got in to purchase tickets, it was almost impossible. If you tried to buy 2 seats, someone already beat you to it. If you spent too much time getting tickets, you will be kicked out and back in line in the queue. All the tickets during the presale were sold out. Ticketmaster had to cancel the public sale. Many fans did not get the chance to get tickets. On November 18th, 2022, Taylor Swift posted on her Instagram story talking about how she had asked Ticketmaster if they could handle the high demand for tickets. They reassured her that they could. Taylor Swift apologized to her fans for the hard time it was getting tickets. Taylor Swift said that she hopes to give the fans more opportunities to be able to go to her concerts.
Taylor Swift started her Tour on March 17th, 2023. Her concert starts at 8pm and ends around 11pm. She performed through each era of her music career. From happy and joyful music from fearless, to folk and indie songs from folklore. She performed 45 songs, with choreography and dancers. Many people say that The Eras Tour isn’t like any other concert that they’ve been to. Taylor Swift ended her US tour on August 9th, 2023. 15 days later, she started her international tour, in Mexico. The international tour has 78 shows. It will last until November 2024.
There was a 4.4% chance of getting tickets. I was super lucky to be able to get a ticket. I went to The Eras Tour on July 7th, 2023. In Kansas City, Mo. It was amazing! Everyone was so nice and I even traded bracelets. My favorite era was Speak Now. Taylor Swift was so incredible. (I cried when she went on stage!) She even brought out a few celebrities on stage, Joey King, Taylor Lautner, and Presley Cash.
The Eras Tour was a once in a lifetime experience. I’m so happy that she gets to do this around the world. It’s so upsetting that many people got to miss out on this because of Ticketmaster. But there are so many ways people can still watch the concert online, from livestreaming and videos.
What is your opinion on Taylor Swifts Ticketmaster drama?
Were you the 4.4% of people who got a ticket?

So you were one of the 4.4% of people that got tickets?? Wow! You are lucky! I'm sure it was an amazong concert. Thanks for sharing your experience with some pictures. Very well done Mikayla!
I think ticketmaster should have known that the demand for TAYLOR SWIFT was gonna be big and should have prepared for it better. Ticketmaster ive noticed has had a lot of issues when it comes to selling tickets. I did not get to go see her, but it would have been so fun to see her.
I agree with you. I have heard that Ticketmaster has had troubles with selling tickets in the past. These tickets that they sold for taylor swift are for a whole football stadium and the huge demand. It was bound to have lots of troubles.
I think ticketmaster should have known the demand for these tickets and have been better prepared. I feel bad for the people who waited for hours and hours on end to not even ending up getting tickets for this concert. As a somewhat fan, I think its an amazing thing you got to see her on tour.
I think ticketmaster should have thought ahead about the demand of the tour. They should have known that the demand will be high and that everyone will be trying to buy tickets at the same time. Its also very unfortunate for the people who waited in line but didn't get tickets.
I think that ticket master should have known the amount of demand that the Taylor Swift concert would bring, she has a gigantic fanbase and Ticketmaster should have better prepared for that. I'm so glad you were able to get a ticket because 4.4% is INSANE. As a fan I'm sure it was amazing but I'm glad I didn't try to get in and experience the letdown a lot of people experienced.
It was incredible to be one of the 4.4% of fans who got to go to her concert. I agree with you, Ticketmaster should have known the huge demand of tickets.
I think that Taylor Swift and her team should have planned better for the buying ticket process since she is a very popular singer and has a very large fanbase. There should have been multiple ways to buy her tickets, not just on TicketMaster. There could have been multiple opportunities to fix the problem before it even happened. I am not a part of the Switie fanbase, so I am not part of the 4.4%.
I agree with you. There were so many fake websites that tried to sell "tickets" and so many people got scammed. You should be a swifitie. Her music is iconic.
Sorry I'll pass
