Why do you think the Islamic groups attacked Damascus?

Do you think the United States would have stepped in if it got any worse?

My thoughts.

I think the Islamic group attacked to express their power and that they were trying to overthrow officials in Damascus.

I also believe that the U.S. might have stepped in if it would have gotten more out of the U.S. would've helped fight the Rebels.

  • Overall, your summary is a bit brief and you could comment a bit more as well.

  • I think the Islamic groups attacked for certain reasons, and I think the US should have stopped and done more.

  • I think they have enmity with them for certain reasons, I think the United States would have stepped in to help them not to be in a bad term, but thankfully the attack did not get worse that could have result to killing a lot of people.

  • I also think that this attack was mainly a show of power. I am glad, however, that the attack was stopped and didn't get any worse than it did. I'm sure the US would have helped in the case that it was worse.

  • I think that maybe they attacked Damascus because they wanted to make sure Damascus knew that they are much more powerful than them. If the attack had gotten a lot worse, I think that U.S. would have stepped in to help out because it wouldn't be good for any battles or wars to come out of this and we wouldn't want anyone to turn and attack on us.

  • I think they attacked Damascus to show that  they are in power and they were trying to overthrow the government. If it did get out of hand and much worse then yes I believe that the U.S. would have stepped in.

  • I would imagine that they attacked Damascus to show that they have power and to show off like they always do. I also think that they wanted to show that they were trying to overthrow the government. I think that if it would have gotten any worse, the United States would have stepped in.

  • I think that this attack could have been away for the Rebels to make a point about them being more powerful then what people think. In my opinion I think that the U.S would have stepped in because if it got really bad then it could turn into a huge war. There are also some Syrian Rebels that got into the United States so it could cause them to be upset and they might start attacking us.

  • They  most likely wanted the territory or possibly to gain advantages by having control over the area. I think we would because The United States as a country usually steps in to foreign problems because we tend to help and get into other countries problems.

    • I agree that they wanted control but I also really agree with you on the United States stepping up and going in and helping cause they tend to help with everything that doesnt involve us.
