Back in 1979, director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Gladiator) scared audiences the world over with Alien. 3 sequels would follow, two of which came nothing close to it and the other passed it to become one of the best sequels ever. But then Twentieth Century Fox combined Alien with Predator and got AVP, still to this day a disliked film by almost unanimous agreement. But now the man who started it all has decided to put another Alien movie out there, this time a prequel. Yeah, that's right. The title of the film is Prometheus, and it deals with the idea that life on Earth was created by an alien race. A team of scientists then shoots themselves into space and finds something in the darkest corners of the universe, so to speak. The film is opening June 1st of 2012. For the most part, its an unknown cast led by Michael Fassbender (Magneto in X-Men: First Class).
