Samantha Iselt of Lexington, Texas drove her barrow to the winner circle. When judge Ryan Sites selected her Grand Champion the arena was filled with tears and a big round of applause. The judge noted that Samantha had spent a lot of time with her barrow because of the way they moved around in the ring. Her brother is her biggest fan and was so nervous and excited watching his sister drive the hog. The barrow was bred and owned by them which made the win so meaningful. Her brother Cody talked about the industry and how it is about the kids and not just the winning. Cody stated that Samantha has been showing for awhile and she is a natural at showing. The barrow sold for $157,00 and a $10,000 scholarship.

If I got all that prize money I would definitely save about half of it for college, but otherwise, go spend it on like a new car or guns. Something else that I enjoy doing. This does inspire me because, in the end, all your hard work will pay off. You might not get 157k but it will pay off.
I would do the same with the money save most of it for college and also fix my car. I would aslo save some money to put back into my bussiness to help it grow faster. I am also inspired to be a better showman because I don't play sports because showing livestock is my sport.
If I won all of that money I would save some of it and spend some of the other money to reward myself for doing something good. I would save most of it thought and save it towards college or something along those lines. I don't know what I would spend it on though.
You don't get all of the money the show gets some back but only like 10 percent. I agree that it is a great idea to sace most of it and then reward yourself for doing a great job but at the end of the day that champion slap is everything to me. But you have to reward yourself at the end of the day I would definetly go buy a new truck.
I would save this prize money for the future and use it for expenses such as a car, or part of a house. However, I wouldn't save all of it. If I won that much money I would use some of it is buy somethings that would be fun.
Youy could buy a lot of things with that much money that's for sure. That sum of money could buy a lot of different things or even invest that much money into a Roth IRA would be a great idea also.
I would probably use the money to buy a car or housing or put it in savings. I might invest in it. I have never been very athletic but I do dance and cheer. It hasn't really encouraged me because I will still do those activities. There really isn't anything that convinces me to stop/continue these activities because it is my choice in the end.
It doesn't matter if you don't play sports but we all have that certain thing in our hearts that we enjoy to do and mine is showing livestock it doesn't matter if it cattle, lambs ,and even pigs. We all have a dream and this girl had a dream and any of us can make that dream come true it just takes hard work and effort.
I would put most of the money into a savings account and whatever I decide not to save id probably put twords a new phone or a computer. The story does not really inspire me to be bettter it just shows me that hard work and time spent well can lead to big things in the future.
Glad we all agree that it's a good idea to save it will take you further in life then spending all your money. Hard work, skill and deticated will take you further in life you don't have to be rich to do good you just gotta work hard than the rest and you will become the best. But in the livestock industry you have to start with a good animail and then feed it right and work with it.
