A South Carolina Officer had a problem with a student and he stood over her... "If she had not disrupted the school and disrupted that class, we would not be standing here today. So it started with her and it ended with my officer. What I'm going to deal with is what my deputy did," said the school principle.

The video shows the officer put his arm around her neck then pull her back, which tips the chair over, then throws her forward flying out of her chair and slid a few inches. "When the officer puts his hands on her initially, she reaches up and she pops the officer with her fist," he said."

 1. Do you think that it was okay for him to do that to the student at north Carolina school?

 2. Do you think the officer should be suspended for awhile or fired?

  • Be sure to look over the stories as this was done last week. Also, be sure to reply more frequently and hyperlink correctly.

  • I think the student should have popped the officer in the mouth because it would just cause even more problems. I don't think the officer should be fired because he was probably trying to do his job and not intentionally hurting the woman.

  • The student was being very defiant, but I do not think that that gives the officer the right to use that kind of violence. I believe that the officer should be fired.

  • I do not think that what the officer did was okay because he was really violent. I think that the officer should be suspended for a while because he was doing his job but he didn't do his job in the best way.

  • I dont think he should have done that exacticaly but I think he should have gotten her up in a better way.

Well I dont know the full story because I would depend on what was happening before so I cant really answer that.

  • No, absolutely not, some police officers think they can just do whatever they want just because they are "the law." The officer was probably doing what he thought best,  but I think he should be suspended for a couple months.

  • Honestly, a white student wouldn't have been treated that way over such a petty act. She wasn't putting anyone in danger, she wasn't causing any harm. She refused a demand, and I get that it was disrespectful, but the officers way of handling it was completely unnecessary and inappropriate in my opinion.

    • I agree with you, many thing today are done because of racist white people and wanting their revenge. She was just sitting in her desk and even if she did act up she was not doing any harm to anyone!
