Last Tuesday on November 10 NASA officially certified SpaceX's Crew Dragon for regular space flight. This is the first spacecraft to have this certification since the space shuttle program. This is also the first commercial spacecraft to ever have this designation. NASA giving this designation to a commercial spacecraft proves that they have moved away from developing their own spacecraft to take astronauts to and from the ISS.
On Sunday, November 15 Crew Dragon launched Michael S. Hopkins, Shannon Walker, and Victor J. Glover of NASA, and Soichi Noguchi, a Japanese astronaut into space. Crew Dragon 1 will dock with the ISS on Monday the 14th at roughly 11 pm EST. The four astronauts and the crew 1 spacecraft will remain in space for about six months.

Do you think it is a good thing that we have moved away from developing our own spacecraft and have now started relying on commercial spacecraft to take our astronauts to space?
Do you think we should put all our faith in a non-government-controlled entity like SpaceX to take out astronauts to and from the ISS?

Your topic choice is fine but your summary is brief and doesn't inlcude any of your thoughts or opinions. You also didn't reply to anyone which is worth 30 points.
I think it's definitely interesting to see how commercial spaceflight will develop. I don't see a pressing issue with giving non-government entities the ability to develope their own spacecraft, however there has to be many rules and regulations. I think it would definitely cut government spending if we weren't actively creating spacecrafts.
I think it is a good idea because if we went to space and found something interesting I don't think they would be able to hide it from us like NASA or the government can. I could also see the fact of the commercial spacecraft company growing and getting competition, and lowering the prices of it and making it more common to be able to go to space.
I think it can be good or bad that we are moving away from developing our own spacecraft because if we keep using our own we will keep getting similar ideas to the sucessful spacecrafts but could be bad if multiple bad tests happen at the same time. I think we should put our faith in SpaceX because the Tesla's have worked for many years and SpaceX and Tesla are under the same owner.
I don't think that its good that we are moving away from developing our own aircraft because if Space X would pull out and stop producing space craft, we would be stuck in a bad situation with not knowing how to produce aircraft for ourselves. I don't think we should be relying on a non-government entity because they make the decisions and NASA really wouldn't have a say in how the spacecraft are built.
i think its a good idea so we can get more people into space and not wait like 20 years to get people to space. and i think thats its like 50/50 to be honest becasue you never know they wont always work the non government space crafts but who knows all these could be good. and make it to space as wanted. but they also have to put money into this and thats alot of money
I think it is a good thing because the world is growing and gaining more companys to take astronauts to space. I think commercial spacecraft will grow and most likely become more known.... We hope anyways... But it could help cut costs down. But this doesn't mean we shouldn't trust them and support their ideas and them as well. We need to put faith in them, it will help them progress in their process.
I think it is a good thing that other companies make space crafts and not just one group. I think commercial spacecraft will slowly grow and become more and more known. This will help cut costs. I do not think we should put all of our faith in non-government-controlled programs, but it is not bad to trust them and support them and their ideas.
I think it is a good thing because the world is growing and gaining more companys to take astronauts to space instead of a major organization like NASA. I think that private companies have less regulation which is a good thing and bad thing which gives them more buisness, but it can go bad quickly. I think it is fine as long as they are meeting the standards and safty regulations.
I think its good to not have to make out own spacecarft beacse it costs a lot of money just to put the rocket into orbit so relying on commercial spacecraft like spaceX can help cut costs a bit more. I don't think we should put all our faith into it but have the company work on a portion and the government can inporve in some ways.
