Usually when we are interviewing for a job they look at what experience you have, how many years, what schools you've attended, but now they are looking at your social network (Facebook, Myspace, etc.) What if you weren't accepted at a job for what is on your site. As in innapropriate pictures, how you speak to others etc..... What do you think? Is it okay or unfair?

woah thats unfair for sure hahaha..i'd be offended..but i dont have anything really innapropriate so i think that facebook etc is way to personal for them to look at for job interveiws.
A person shouldn't get or not get the job because of what they have on there facebook or myspace. Everyone gets a little crazy at times and makes mistakes. They should get the job because of how well they do the job.
I think that would be really unfair because whats on your page is your business not your jobs. Just because of the things you have on your myspace or facebook doesnt mean thats how you act if you have a job. I think its fine if they look at your schools and everything but not your page.
I think its unfair, because just because your page says something doesnt mean you act like that, it might not actually be your website either, someone could have made it and said it was you
I think it is a fine thing to do. If I was looking for someone to hire I would want to know their history and how they act outside of the job they would be applying for.
I think it is unfair to have people looking at your facebook or myspace to see whether or not you would get the job or not. I think that is personal stuff and it would be none of there business. But, if they were to look at my facebook and myspace I'm sure they wouldn't find anything that they didn't like, so I'm not to worried out it.
wow. this is surprising. i think it seems a bit unfair, because your soial network has nothing to do with your job, and shouldnt effect it. depening on the jb i gues it would ocassionally be ok some jobs want you to act approiatly to represent their business so that could be why too.
well I wouldn't want to hire employees that put inappropriate pictures on their websites. Because if they put pictures like that on their website, they clearly aren't very smart or have little to no common sense.
