A smoothie shop owner in Utah is charging liberals an extra dollar on everything, explaining that it is a way to deal with the fiscal issues are country is facing. I'm not sure if this is the right thing to deal with disagreements with the president and liberals in general, but then again if they are still willing to pay I suppose, why not?

  • This is wrong come on you can't punish people like this for there beliefs

    • Hobby lobby is. And chickfila is too.

  • I dont know liberals are always causeing a fuss about being healthy and smoothies are loaded with sugar.

  • This isn't any less constitutional then the law about the size of fountain drinks, so see no reason why this person can't do this.

  • I really don't think this is fair. We live in a free country where everything is supposed to be equal, and this obviously isn't equal. And how does this shop owner even know who's liberal and who isn't? Do they ask before they order or what? Your own political views can be a very private and personal. They don't need to brought up for smoothies. It just seems kind of ridiculous to me.

  • This is just idiotic. I suppose it's his business and he can do what he wants. But there's a line between making a statement and being petty and he passed it a long time ago. I would never eat there I don't care how good the smoothies are, well unless they're really good.

  • I'd say this is pretty silly, but I suppose some people either really want a smoothie and don't mind paying extra or are proud enough about their beliefs that they'll cough up the cash just to prove they stand by their views completely. Besides if you didn't want to pay an extra dollar you could always lie, its not like they're going to track you down or something.

  • I think that this is a little unfair but I guess if they are willing to pay for it even if it being an extra dollar, than i guess go for it.

  • I don't think this is the right way to deal with the situation, but the owner of the shop can charge whoever he wants however he wants.

  • This is very dumb they should not be making anybody pay extra for what there opinion is.
