At Lelystad, Netherlands , there is a nature reserve where thousands of starving animals are being slaughter by the rangers at the reserve. More than half of the animals on the acreage didn't survive through out the winter, but some believe that the animals maybe suffering from gun shot wounds from the rangers that shot them that work at the reserve. When the tourist seen this ghoulish sight this lead protesters to cut the fence at the reserve and free the animals. Regularly the rangers watch over the animals that graze, but last fall the grazing animal population was 5,230. Then there was around 90% of them killed by rangers after the winter ,because of the animals bad conditions.

Why did they slaughter the animals & if there is another way to kill the animals what would you do?
I think they did because of the animals have a disease or an injury. Another way they could of done is euthenize the animals so they won't go through pain.
What would you do if you were there?
I would call the animal control and the vetanarians , then I would try to save the animals.

I think they slaughterd them because they were in bad condiotion as they said in the article and if they were in bad condition or were sick with a disease or virus and if the disease and virus was true you wouldnt want them spreading the disease and getting the others sick and I think they could have at least taken the animals aside to like a slauhgter house or maybe done a cleaener job so the ydidnt leave animals with gun wounds. If I was there I would just inform the police or the state government so that way people arent having to go in there and see that.
I feel like its unfair for the rangers to kill all these animals. I understand that they may be starving, but it's more of the fact that the rangers kept them in the enclosed space while this was happening. Perhaps if they were able to go elsewhere in search of food, they might have been able to support themselves. Instead, they decided to just kill the animals instead of allowing nature to take its course. They had no faith in the animals at their survival and slautered them without even giving them a chance. It was just a waste of ammunition if they were going to end up dying anyways and any animal that would have survived wasnt given the chance.
I think that maybe they were going to die shortly anyway, maybe they have a really bad injury or maybe the animals were carying a deadly disease but the rangers still could've just put them down so they wouldn't have to go through so much pain. I would call aothorites and vetanarians to try and get the animals justice and another chance to live.
I think they did cause they were sick and dident want them in the area or just dident want that kind of animal
Call somebody so these animals dont have to suffer or try to deal with it myslef
I would do whatever I could to get them to stop.
I would release the animals.
if the animals are in bad condtion they need to be put down so they don't suffer any more than they already are. it's not a goad thing for them to be killed off because they could go extinct after a period of time.
I would call the police and say that rangers are shooting at animals inside the nature reserve and try to protect the animals before they are all gone or extinced from the planet all together
sorry spelled some things wrong
I think that the rangers killed the animals because the they whated to hunt the animals that they knew were not going to run away and were easy targets for the rangers to shoot and kill
Well an answer to thw second question i would defiently try to save the animals instead of trying to kill them off. If they are sick or have a dieses we need to figure out why they have it because they are on a animal reserve.
