Think about it....pretty much everything we do is sitting. When we're in school, we sit. When we drive, we sit. When we watch TV, well, you get the picture. in a recent study, it shows that sitting all the time may cause diseases to kill you prematurely. Even if you exercise! The studies showed that a person who sits a lot can lead to cardiovascular issues as well as type 2 diabetes. One way to stop this is to be aware of how much you're sitting, and stand up once in awhile! like when you're watching tv, stand up and walk around during the commercials!

This is a great topic choice but wasn't put up until Wednesday. You also only went in one day to reply.
Sitting is a daily habit for everybody and I believe it would be a very hard thing to change in someones lifestyle although it should happen. I know there are machines that are made for people with desk jobs that help you exercise at work. They are treadmill desks where you can walk while working at the same time. It helps people lose weight and get healthy. I think this invention would help reverse this problem.
Yeah that would be a great idea!
I think this is actually really scary reading this. People arent aware of these things and we mostly sit all day. All day at school, and then go home and sit down to do homework and watch tv. I dont think any of these problems would happen to me because I work out a lot and I get up to walk around during class anyways.
Yeah i agree this is scary. People really don't record how much they sit. It can lead to serious damage.
