On April 14, 1912, the R.M.S. Titanic hit an iceberg and sank. But there are some conspiracy theories and myths about the wreck. One conspiracy theory was that the wreck was planned. The other one is that the Titanic never sank. My belief is that the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the ocean.
One of the most famous theories is that J.P. Morgan planned the wreck to take out his rivals. Morgan was supposed to go on the trip but shortly before it left he changed his mind. The reason that Morgan wanted to kill the three men was that they opposed the creation of the Federal Reserve. It was also weird that Morgan would want to risk other people's lives just to take out his rivals.
Some people also think that the Titanic never sank. One person believes that it was the Olympic that set sail before the Titanic and had severe damages. Since they could not afford the repairs they changed the name to the Titanic and so they put people on it the ship sank and the company got insurance money. I could see a company trying to get insurance money because they couldn't afford the repairs but I doubt they would put people's lives at risk.
I really don't believe in conspiracy theories that much because most of them can't be proven. In addition, I can see how the wreck could be planned to take out some of your rivals. But you also have to think that you might kill yourself in the process of the whole thing. Also, Morgan was never on the ship so you have to think that maybe he could've had someone on the inside do it. I could also see that the company could've changed the names of the ships just to get insurance money but you're also putting people at risk of dying. So I believe that the Titanic sinking was just a horrible accident that no one saw coming.
Do you think that J.P. Morgan planned the wreck? Explain.
Do you think that the Titanic never sank and it was actually the Olympic? Explain.

Good topic but it is more US History related. I also think you could have expanded a bit more on the Titantic itself before going into the conspiracies. Well done overall though!
I do not think the sinking was planned. They wouldn't purposely sink a ship with tons of people on it. There's a low chance it was planned because they couldn't have known about the iceberg and that it would harm the ship. I believe it was a terrible accident.
Though it may be easier to fraudulently start a fire, changing the name a luxury cruise liner is very hard to pull off. First is the question "what happened to the Olympus?" This single question could put the company in deep water.
No, I think that the idea of the Titanic sinking being a planned incident is crazy in its own regards. As for the idea that the Titanic wasn't even the titanic, I highly disagree. We,be actually had Lille subs that have gone down to the wreckage. Even the survivors all stated it was the Titanic.
No I do not think the sinking was a planned event. I think the Titanic sinking was a horrible crash that happened on accident. I believe it was the actual Titanic. I don't think anyone would actually put their life at risk just for some money or to get back at anyone.
I really dont think that they planned the wreck because I think that they thought they could make it through. No, I think the Titanic actually sank because people have went diving and found parts of ship wreck and also supplies that were on that ship.
I think the werck could have been planned mostly because of the insurance money in it. however, if it was planned it would be messed up that he would do something like this because of the people the wreck killed. I dont know how I feel about the olympic theorie but I think it could be possible. yet, both theories seem not true to me beacsue we just dont know enough.
I could see both of those possiblitys happening, but their very very unlikely. J.P. Morgan could have very well planned the wreck. Some people are rather sadistic and would risk loads of innocent people just to have their rivals gone. Think about gangs. They risk innocent peoples lives all the time.
I don't think that wreck could have been planned because it was such a large disaster. I don't think someone would be willing to kill or endanger that many people in order to take out their rivals because that would also be taking out their customers. I also think that the Titanic wrecked because there were survivors to give their story.
I don't think that this wreck was planned. It would be incredibly selfish and irresponsible to knowingly put people on a ship destined to sink. I would like to think that no one would purposely do that, but I guess you can never be sure. I think that it was actually the titantic that sank. There was insane amounts of press coverage of the ship so it would be very hard to fake it.
