The ground just suddenly opened Thursday night beneath the bedroom of his home. He called out to his brother for help as he fell. He ran to the bedroom, he was gone, the bed, dresser, tv and no sign of him. The police tried to pull him out, but the floor was still collapsing. It is tough because they whole house could collapse so they don't know where it is safe to put equipment. They are just sitting and waiting. They think the whole is 20 x 30 ft. and 30 ft deep. The night before another women fell beneath her floor. The people are just stuck in the ground until they can find a way to get them out, but it is unlikely that they will survive.
I really hope these people survive. I can't imagine what it would be like to just lose someone like that. I just want to know what is causing this. This is a really sad story. Just falling through the floor got to be horrible. I can't imagine that this would just be a foundation problem. Having this happen has got to be terrible.

i feel bad for the family to lose somebody for that reason! Sinkholes can be really dangerous!
My prayers go out to the man's family, this is such a crazy, awful thing to have happen.
Thats very very very scary! i mean really scary! jus think layin in bed. no problems, then BAM! you're in the ground fighting for your life! that is very very scary! gives me shivers!!
This stinks that this had to happen to these people and there family members prayers go out to there families.
This is unfortunate that this happens. It would be horrible to be the family members to have lost someone like that.
