During one of Donald Trumps campaigns a Muslim woman named Hamid was escorted because of silently protesting. Hamid was sitting in the stands behind Trump. She stood being the republican front runner that stated that Syrian refugees we affiliated with ISIS. Trump called for a ban on Muslim entering the U.S.
Trump supporters around Hamid began chanting his name. She and another man, Marty. were later escorted for silently protesting at Trumps Campaign.
While being escorted by the police, Trump supporters roared, booing the pair and telling them to "get out."
"The ugliness really cam out fast and that's really scary"- Hamid told CNN in a phone interview.

QUESTIONS
1.) Do you think things could have been handled in a better way? (The Trump supporters yelling?)
2.) What would you have done if you were being escorted and people were yelling a you t o"get out"?
MY OPINION
I think the officer should have told people to leave them alone, yes people might be against her religion, but that doesn't give them a reason to scream hateful things at them. If i was being escorted out and people were yelling at me i would feel really down about myself. I think its a horrible thing

Good topic but again, comment more to student comments.
I'm sure they weren't doing any harm but you know that by protesting against Trump where a bunch of people going to support him, you are probably going to get some rude comments. Think of it like this, you are going to go sing a solo and someone shows up holding up a sign saying you suck or something, you wouldn't like it and I'm sure someone would tell them to leave or stop and that's all Trump and the authorities did. Of course people who support him are upset.. Why wouldn't they be?
1.the trump supporters didn't need to act like, i'm sure there mad and upset about the terrorist and there loved ones they lost and they want action, but they need realize that its the terrorist causing the problems not every single Muslim.all she was doing was silently protesting they weren't causing any harm to anyone else and should of been able to stay.the supporters are the ones who needed to be controlled.
2.can't do anything just have to leave really wouldn't want to be around such hateful people anyways
I don't how things could've been handled in a better way. The police escorted the Muslims out of the building and it's hard to contain a crowd of people that are yelling. They shouldn't have been protesting at all because they knew they were going to get what was coming to them. If I was being escorted out I'd fell foolish and yell at them back.
No because their is no way to stop a large mass of people from doing something without a little force involved, and that is what Trump does not need while campaigning for presidency. I would turn around and flip them all off.
Yes, maybe because maybe she knew that trump didn't "like" that religion, maybe she could have stayed away. Good point...
I think that she could've not silently protested in the first place. Then none of this would've happened. I would feel unliked and humiliated because no one else protested along with me.
I do think they could have been handled in a better way they could have asked her to please sit or be escorted out. If I was escorted out and people were yelling at me telling me to get out then I probably would have just walked out without saying anything back.
I feel the officer should of done something to get them to leave her alone, yeah shes different but that doesn't mean they need to scream at them. If I was being escorted and people were yelling at me I would feel really upset and wondering what was wrong with me that they had to yell. It truly is a horrible thing.
I think the reason that she was taken the way she was is because of what the people around her believed. I think that if there were more Muslim people there maybe they wouldn't have done anything?
