Throughout the U.S. there are 355 zoos, and there are more than 2,800 zoos worldwide. These zoos can produce up to 24 billion dollars each year. The zoos produce most of this money off of the animals. However, a huge debate is if this is even okay for zoos to hold these animals and make money off of it.
Many people believe that zoos are harmful to the animals mentally and physically. However, zoos do so much more positive than negative things. For example, they teach millions of people all over the world about animals they might not have even known about. They expand our knowledge about animals in general. Along with that, zoos help us produce more animals that the world is lacking. Also, these zoos help save animal species that are on the brink of extinction. These animals in the zoos are also treated very well. They are well fed, have water available, and even get medicine to boost their health.
I believe that zoos do more positive things than negative things in the world. They’re keeping these animals safe and ensuring that these animals will still be around for future generations to come.

I do believe that zoo might do neagative thing but over all they do alot more postive things by protecting and treating the animal with anything they would need. I think zoo are ok and offer a lot of etertainment for little and big kids.
I think Zoos are ok because it is a good way to study animals. People get these Stereotypes that zoos hurt animals. Animals have a higher chance of living longer in zoos because they are taken care of and medicated. Zoos have saved many animals from extingtion and being killed by potchers.
I think that zoos arent the best way to show off animals or educate yourself on them but kids do like going there but the zoos make a lot of money to treat the animals not how they should be.In my opinion they are not the best way to educate people on the animals because they are not in their real habitat.
I can see how you feel this way. It is understandable to think it is not the best because they aren't in their natural habitat. I think zoos are doing better on trying their hardest to make the animals in a environment that is closest to where they natural live.

I think that zoos used to be very bad because of how poorly the animals were treated all the time. Now I believe that they are taken much better care of and they are happy. I think zoos are beneficial to preserve wildlife that is endangered, and zoos helps teach people about the animals of the world.
Zoo's are great for kids and families to come see animals that we mostly can't see either because they are in the wild or are in another part of the country. I don't think its harmfull for these animales to be where they are. They are being taken care of by the Zoo keepers.
I think zoos are very good to save animals from extinction and to keep them safe if they are injured. Zoos also help to teach people about different animals so I think they are great. Over time they may affect animals mentally so I think at some point if overcrowding happens they should be released.
I think zoos are good. Children and adults alike get to see animals they would think they would never get to see. From what I've seen at the Henry Doorly Zoo, the animals get treated like they are the staffs children. They are fed good, the staff will sometimes play with the animal, and they seem to really like their environment.
