Throughout the U.S. there are 355 zoos, and there are more than 2,800 zoos worldwide. These zoos can produce up to 24 billion dollars each year. The zoos produce most of this money off of the animals. However, a huge debate is if this is even okay for zoos to hold these animals and make money off of it.
Many people believe that zoos are harmful to the animals mentally and physically. However, zoos do so much more positive than negative things. For example, they teach millions of people all over the world about animals they might not have even known about. They expand our knowledge about animals in general. Along with that, zoos help us produce more animals that the world is lacking. Also, these zoos help save animal species that are on the brink of extinction. These animals in the zoos are also treated very well. They are well fed, have water available, and even get medicine to boost their health.
I believe that zoos do more positive things than negative things in the world. They’re keeping these animals safe and ensuring that these animals will still be around for future generations to come.

I think that zoos are perfectly fine for all the animals that are inside them. The animals that are inside zoos get fed food each day and get treated nicely by the workers at the zoo. Even though it may seem mean to have animals behind glass for the rest of their lives. Most of them probably were not going the survive out in the wild or their species is almost gone completley.
I think that zoos are okay in moderation. For example, maybe one type of sea animal and one type of land animal. This is because you have to responisbly take care of these animals for their entire life, and keep them happy and healthy throughout.
I personally think that zoos are a fine thing because they make their habitats just like their natural habitat so it's like they never left. The zoos take really good care of their animals so I think that in some cases the zoo would be better for the animals because their habitats can be quite dangerous sometimes.
I think it definitely depends on how the zoo does their work for the animals and how the animals are treated. I think zoos are a great way for children to engage with certain animals they like and they have more of like a fantasy look on the animals within the zoo. Many children find animals very amusing and they love going to zoos where they can see a variety of animals they love and want to see.

It depends on what the zoos is doing. If they just put them in cages then that should not be. But if you try and make a habitate look like what it would useally be and even effect climite or tempeture then that is perfectly fine. A zoo should be a place to learn how animals act and to do that you have to create a place that they will see like home.
I completely agree. I think under the correct circumstances, then zoos would be okay and even good. I feel like if they're in something that they can make similar to their natural habitat then it will be okay. If they are just in cages then I think that is wrong.
I think zoos are definilty okay. Zoos entertain many children and even adults. It is interesting learning about the wild life. I don't think the animals are really getting abused but I also dont work there so I have no idea what is going on when no one is there or watching.
I think that the zoos are great for conserving wildlife, but I think that it takes a lot of work for that goal to be reached. Zoos should operate under strict policies to make sure that their practices and enclosures are ethical towards the animals. Some zoos do this well, but others do have problems with this.
I agree. I think that zoos do more good than bad. I feel that they help everyone learn about all these different kinds of animals. They also help save many different kinds of species so that is extremeley helpful.
