Throughout the U.S. there are 355 zoos, and there are more than 2,800 zoos worldwide. These zoos can produce up to 24 billion dollars each year. The zoos produce most of this money off of the animals. However, a huge debate is if this is even okay for zoos to hold these animals and make money off of it.
Many people believe that zoos are harmful to the animals mentally and physically. However, zoos do so much more positive than negative things. For example, they teach millions of people all over the world about animals they might not have even known about. They expand our knowledge about animals in general. Along with that, zoos help us produce more animals that the world is lacking. Also, these zoos help save animal species that are on the brink of extinction. These animals in the zoos are also treated very well. They are well fed, have water available, and even get medicine to boost their health.
I believe that zoos do more positive things than negative things in the world. They’re keeping these animals safe and ensuring that these animals will still be around for future generations to come.

I can understand this. I know for a fact that many other poeple also feel this way. I can understand because the animals are meant to be in their natural habitat and they have been taken from it so they probably won't feel as comfortable as normal.
I think having zoos is good for kids to learn and just fun to go see animals you don't normally get to see as long as the animals are being treated well. I think zoos are okay. I think they have many good qualities like helping animals not become extinct and learning opportunities.
I think sometimes it is helpful to have some zoos to help animals. I also think that taking away an animal from their natural habit it's not good. I think animals should be free. I think that we can help injured animals or animals that just can't get back to nature because they will die.
I think it's good to have zoos to be able to see animals that you can't see on an everyday. It's fun to go and walk around and see different kinds of animals. As long as the animals are being treated right and nothing bad is happening.
I agree with you. I think it is another way of entertainment that most people can appreciate. I also agree how you said as long as the animals are treated good then zoos are okay. I feel the same way. However, if the animals are treated bad then I think they should be shut down.
I think that zoos overall do more good than bad for animals. I'm sure that at some zoos there are some keepers who do not treat the animals well, but most zookeepers have a passion for the animals and they save species that otherwise would have gone extinct. A lot of species are still alive because of zoo breeding.
Overall I think that zoos can be okay but they can be very bad if the animals are getting abused. I think that zoos can be very benifical as they allow people to learn more about exotic animals. So If the animals are being treated right I think that zoos are okay.
I personally think zoos are alright to have. As long as they aren't abusing the animals I don't see the problem with them. In some cases, I think they are helping the animals to get out of their habitats that are being taken over by people. Whenever I go to the zoo, I see the zoo keepers taking very good care of the animals and all the animals look happy.
I agree. I think that most of the zoos now treat animals pretty good and give them a liveable and comfortable habitat. Like you said, as long as they aren't abusing the animals then I think they are okay. I think zoos are important to help us learn, but I also think it is important for the animals to be safe.
I think zoos are fine to have as long as they are treating the animals right. If they are abusive to the animals I think they should be shut down. Zoos are a fun way to entertain families and it is cool to see animals that you don't see everyday.
