BY THE MAIN MAN KOBY REDLER(Finna hit you with some knowledge)
http://money.cnn.com/2017/10/05/smallbusiness/bump-fire-stocks/index.html ;
The attack in Las Vegas was devastating. The biggest mass shooting in the history of the United States. How did this one man take on such a horrendous task and how did he carry it out efficiently enough to make this the biggest shooting in America, how did finish it with so many kills under his belt. To some(Mostly Democrats), it is the work of one small weapon attachment. A legal device passed by the Obama administration, yea you heard me right, the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, that allows the user of his or her semi automatic weapon to fire in a mode almost identical to fully automatic fire. It is known as the BUMP STOCK! But I will get into that later. First to have a valid argument in this situation, we all have to first understand the basics of weapon mechanics. First, AUTOMATIC: When you squeeze the trigger, your weapon will undoubtedly fire without stopping until you either run out of ammo or simply let off of the trigger. There are many pros and cons with this. PROS: Increases the amount of lead you spit down the range of fire and possibly increases the number of kills you may receive from doing so(increased kill count). CONS: Increases recoil(how much force your shoulder is being impacted with and how much kick your weapon is giving you potentially lowering your accuracy), and muzzle climb(every bullet you fire raises the end of you barrel(The Muzzle) and like I said before potentially lowering your accuracy). With these along with many many other variables such as weapon choice, weapon weight, calibre(giving you different outcomes for recoil, range, accuracy etc), rapid ammo depletion, and so on and so forth, fully automatic firing doesn't help you in many situations statistically. So many armed forces(like ours), police forces(like ours), and like many competition shooters, will often usually try to fire fully automatically in small burst or “BURST FIRE” to gain the ability to actually HIT the target you're aiming for. Which brings me to my next topic SEMI AUTOMATIC FIRE. If you can’t tell by name this firing mode stops your obsession with missing your targets and assist you with your aim. You can squeeze the trigger for as long as you want, but all it will do is fire one bullet per squeeze, so if you want to shoot like a rabbit on a steroided up crack cocaine fueled rampage you gotta either have a fast trigger finger or switch it to full auto(which is illegal in most states or is very VERY expensive to own), because semi wont get you far, but is the run of the mill choice for the average target practicing MURICAN! But then a redneck genius came up with an idea so beautiful people wanted to marry it, it was called the bump stock. A bump stock is pretty easy to understand. Its is a stock that bumps with the recoil and causes your finger to continue to nail the trigger over and over again with ease(simulating automatic fire(except it’s not)). Its design was created to have a legal solution to automatic fire. However it defeats the purpose of having a stock(which is reducing recoil). It swaps recoil and accuracy for inaccurate and fully automatic fun! Now if you relied on this for your life in an actual firefight you would most likely lose badly even if you were Jesus, but this man was firing into a large crowd of people so he didn't have to worry about accuracy or anything like that, just point at the large crowd and spray. Furthermore, this is what most of the left wingers are blaming for the problem, not the man or his health but the guns and the gun attachments. The right wingers however believe that it was not the guns fault but the man. No one can say for sure though because of the lack of evidence pointing toward a motive. And no one can really find a cure for our mass shootings that happen every so often. But what do you think?
Questions
Explain. Do you think people should be allowed to own bump stocks or semi auto rifles like our beautiful Murican made AR15?
Explain. What do you think we can blame this shooting on, guns or something else?
Explain. If the man was unable to use these types of weapons, would he still have been able to do this?

Koby,
Great topic and summary! You did also great job replying to comments. The one thing I would tell you is to use paragraphs next time to better organize your information. I would guess you would have had even more comments had you used paragraphs as it just makes it harder to focus and read the way you wrote it.
yes I do believe that WE THE PEOPLE should be allowed to own semi auto and the pump stock because but only if they have training to use those guns how ever if said person doesn't have said training they should not be able to get said guns.
i am pro gun so i don't believe that it was the guns fault the gun didn't say hey I'm gonna go to a casino and shoot 100+ people it was the person behind the gun he was obviously not right in the head and should have never owned a gun but because one person who should not have a gun makes a bad decision with said gun doesn't mean that the rest of us goo gun owners should get punished.
i do how ever think that if guns didn't exist that this would have happened because their would not have be ant way other than explosives to make this happen.
Yea I agree, if the person id properly trained on how to use it the right way, than yea I say let them have it. And I also agree that if he didn't have guns, I think he probably would have went with the bomb idea.
I think anyone that doesn't have a history of homicidal/suicidal acts should have access to guns. The ones that do, shouldn't have access, for the safety of themselves and/or others. I think it was his mental health and mental instability. What do you mean by 'this'? A) The plot? or, B) Physically shooting? If you meant the plot (to harm others), then of course, yes. If you meant, physically shooting, then no.
Ight ight, I like it, I like it. For the people who have these kinds of backgrounds shouldn't have access to these kinds of guns, its a pretty good idea. I like it.
I think that people have the right to get whatever guns they want, however, I think they need to make getting the gun and passing the health check harder. I also think that they need to check up on these people every year or so just to make sure everything is all good and they arent going crazy.
I think it was the guys health, I know many people with semi automatics and they are safe with them so I think that its the peoples fault.
I think that he would have, there are other ways to hurt people and I think it was just easy for him to cower in a hotel room and shoot.
The every so often check up idea is pretty smart I like it. As for making the heath check harder and background check more precise, I totally agree.
Right right, I like were this is going, i'm overjoyed with how intelligent you are Carter. I like it b, you sent that thing, very good comment, Regulation of the rifles and bump stocks is a very smart strategy, then everyone's happy, I LIKE IT!
Yes, I think that we should be able to own bump stocks and semi auto rifles because some people might like to shoot guns for fun and then if they could not have it what would they do. I think it could be both the guns and the person who wanted to shoot them, because some guns are not allowed to be fired in the US but others are and it is just the type of person and what he does with it. He might have been able too just not with the certain weapons that he used.
That's my boi. Very creative comment and a very good overall argument. It was a very well worded and perfectly well written with no flaws at all, I totally agree.
