As we begin the new school year the question of year-round school seems to pop up a lot. Many people have different thoughts and feelings on year-round school. The year-round school has a lot of pros and cons to it. I personally think we should not have year-round school and should keep it the way it is.
If you think about it, year-round school would be very nice because then over the summer you wouldn’t forget all the stuff you have learned. Then again year-round school would also suck because then you don’t get any super long breaks, and it will feel like you have been in school forever. On the plus side, you would get longer breaks throughout the year though.
In a normal school year every month, you get at least a day off especially if it is an important holiday. Then during Christmas break, we get like one week to two weeks off. We also have Thanksgiving break, Winter break, and Easter break where we get a couple of extra days off of school. Then we have our long summer break. Most schools in the United States have the summer break where they get the whole summer free. Where in other countries they go all year round. When they do go all year round they get a lot of spaced-out breaks. I personally like having the summer break because then I don’t have to worry about school and homework. Plus summer has nice weather, so then I get to enjoy it.
In conclusion, I feel we shouldn’t have year-round school because most kids enjoy their summer by being outside and working. Granite kids probably won’t forget what they’ve learned, but I feel like adjusting to a whole new schedule would be very hard and challenging to do.

I do not think we should have year round school. The school year gives kids plenty of room to gain knowledge, and offers social interaction. Although these points can be positive for children, I still think it is important to offer a break. Summer gives kids a better understanding of "real life", where they can work at their own jobs. Kids will also have more motivation during the school year if they know that they will get a break.
I agree with you, I believe we shouldn't have year-round school because we need a break in the summer. With all the work and sports all school year, things get tiring. Something positive about year-round school would be more long breaks. I would personally never consider year-round school just because I love summer time too much.

I agree with this post. I think that students need a break from the constant homework and long days inside of a building. Summer is also a good break for kids to get a job or work on their family farm. Sometimes summer teaches kids more social skills to kids than school does. Kids are more likely to accept these lessons because it doesn't feel like school. I think having a summer break is very much needed for students and the teachers as well.
I don't think we should have year-round school, because it's scientifically proven then if a kid doesn't get at least an hour break, they forget the easier subjects like math and science. With year-round school, it gives you more tries to become better in school. I would never consider going to year-round school.
Personally, I think year around school would be good. If we were going to do it we would need to try it out first, such as for one school year we do it and then decide if we want to keep it or not. It is great having 3 months off of school but it would also be good getting longer breaks in between. During the summer I always forget everybody's names and what I learned and have to relearn everything.
I think that school should stay how it is because we are all already used to how it is and I would not what to go to school over the summer. But, if we were to go all year round then the longer breaks would be nice because then we would remember everything instead of coming back after summer and not remembering what we learned the year before.
I think school should stay the same because everyone needs a nice break for school. The nice thing about year round school is you don’t have to refresh your brian. You also don’t have to relearn everything you have learned from past years. No, I would never want to go year round because I believe all the students and teachers need a break from each other.

I dont think we should beucase most people would not like it. I would say yes if we didnt have a winter. I think there would be something postive about all year round school if people wanted to graduate early and see your freinds all year around.I would not go all year around beuacse I think people should enjoy summer because some schools go all year around and I would never do that I would like to enjoy the summer weather.
