Lowering the voting age can have a beneficial increase in voting involvment, and in turn increase voter turnout. More people being able to vote also means that the government would be able to better suit people of a broader age group and encourage them to get involved in politics. Furthermore, it is proven that those who were able to vote from a younger age, were more prone to staying consistant and are more likely to vote consistently since they got into the habit at a younger age. By having the age lowerd it can shape the future of society and bulid the new generation. Theirs diffrent countries that have the voting rights or age to 16-17. "give them a voice in our democracy". It can give them a chance to have their voices heard in the politics.
Should the voting age be raised or lowerd?
How can it effect society?
whould you like to vote at 16 or 17

Personally I think that the voting age should continue to stay the same. However I do think it would be cool for more people to be able to express their feelings and opinions I think it is best to just wait until your of age to make an adult decison. Not to mention being 18 your more educated on everything going on so you can better understand the decison your making.
I don't think voting age should lower if anything. I think a lot of kids when they're younger are uneducated and they will just follow what their parents think. I think the only way we could lower voting age is if people took tests to see if they know polotics to a certain level.
I agree. but the change could be good by letting their voices heard and might having a good idea.
16 year olds could be old enough to know about their politcal opinion. Having a chance to vote could change the future. Could make a law about parent peer pressureing them to vote for a curtain person.
I believe that the voting age should stay the same. Lowering it could be great for the U.S. as there would be a lot more people voting. It could also be negative, as some kids will just be voting for whoever their parents vote for. Eighteen would be a good age as you can educate yourself, and are mature enough to make your own life decisions.
I think the voting age should stay the same. I think lowering it would just mean the younger poeple could be just voting for whoever their parent's vote for and not even understanding why they want to vote for them. I don't know how it would effect society but it would probably negatively effect it. I wouldn't mind voting right now because I understand things about the presidents.
I think the voting age should stay the same. Although it would be great to spread your opinion and be invloved in politics I don't think people who are younger should be allowed to vote. 18 is a good age because you are mature enough to educate yourself on what you beleive and what you think is right.
I think the voting age should stay the same or be lowered to 17 or 16, since they know more about voting. It can effect the society by having more people vote, and more of a majority vote to make it a fair game. It would be nice to vote at 16 or 17, but your not that far off from the actual voting age, which I think they should keep the same since you also have other responsibilities at age 18.
