Should Teachers Carry Guns At School??

With all of the recent shootings going on, there has been talk about the idea of teachers carrying gun at school. Would it help or hurt the situation at hand? I personally don't think it would help the situation at all. What if a young student got a hold of the weapon? What do you think?

I think there should be at least one gun at school, but maybe not every teacher should have one. If there are careful rules set I think it would be a good idea just in case something would happen.

I think that IF this were to happen, kids should not know about it. Cause then some crazy kids can go looking for them, then they have the murder weapon right there. I wouldn't feel very safe around the school. even though ,ost kids would. I don't think I would

Teachers should be able to have a weapon in school to protect the students in case of an emergency. If they do this they would also have to amp up there security so that none of the students do anything stupid.

The teachers should not have guns. That just makes our world a lot more violent. The principal should have a gun if something bad happens but not the entire teacher staff.

While I think it is partially a good idea, there are not many teachers in our school that I would feel comfortable having a gun. Mr. Wagner definitely, or someone who has had military training like that. Otherwise I don't think I would be comfortable with teachers carrying guns.

I dont think they should be able to. I don't trust just about all my teachers with a gun. I would fear them shooting us. Cops can solve the problem not teachers.

  A teacher is already at the scene. They can react in seconds if anything happens. The usual respond time of a cop is 20 mins.

I think personally guns are not needed. We could just advance our security system so kids couldn't bring weapons into to school!

  Lock the doors? The doors at sandy hook were locked. The shooting at the middle school in alanta had metal dectors but he still got a gun in there. Only place were shooting dont dont happen are were guns are allowed and even then usualy only 2 people are shot before another person who has gun at the scene stops the shooter.

I think it would help out a lot. Because if the shooters knew that teachers had guns then they wouldn't even try to come in and shoot anyone.
