The Coronavirus cases in the world are very high and they keep increasing. As the cases keep increasing places keep shuting down and schools are doing different ways depending on how many cases are in there county. Cases have been going up a lot lately and some schools have been getting lots of cases and they are now doing hybrid or online. For some students it would be better if they went in full or hybrird so they can at least be in class because its hard for them to do it at home. When your in school you have a teacher that can explain things for you and write it out if need be. When schools have everyone thta may need to wear there masks casue they can's social distance in there classroom and there masks might become a distraction. Being hybrid you can be distance in classes so you don't have to wear a mask.  Online classes would be hard for those who don't have wifi and sometimes people won't do the work.

1. Do you think the cases will go down?

2. Do you think students should go back full time, hybrid, or online?

  • I presonally think cases will continue to rise, because many students that I know have gotten it and many more have been exposed and that number continues to rise. I think we should go to either hybrid or online because Iowa has the highest coronavirus positivity rate in the country and almost number 1 in the world making us one of the most unsafe places for the virus.

  • I think we're going to continue to have waves/outbreaks of Covid-19. It's not going to magically go away quickly. It's probably going to be a long process before everyone is 100% safe. With that being said, I think we as mature humans are able to maintain the virus and protect ourslves enough to stay all in person. If it gets worse, we should go online, though.

    • I agree that the cases will keep going up becasue not everyone is protecting themselves. If the cases keep getting worse school will start shutting down and then school will go online.

  • I think that the Coronavirus cases will continue to grow. While in school we are not always 6 feet apart from other people and not everyone is responsible with a mask. I personally felt safer when we were on a hybrid schedule and I did not feel it affected my learning. I think it is good to be in a classroom setting at least twice a week so we have a better idea of what we are doing. I think we are also still learning outside of school with homework.

    • I agree the cases won't go back down now that kids are going back to school and some people are back at work. I also agree that it was better being in hybrid where we were more spaced out and there was less people. For some kids it would be better to be back in full though for more learning with your teacher.

  • I do not think that the number of cases will go down soon, mainly because of the fact that many people still do not think that the virus is real. I personally like online quite a bit. Also hybrid due to being able to be home during the week. I do not like full time due to the fact that people are not responsible with masks and sanitizing while at school.

    • I agree becasue some people aren't taking this virus seriously and those people are gonna be the ones who get the virus. At school I like being in hybrid, but I think that since our school year gto cut short last year that we need to be back in full for as long as possible so we can catch up on learning.

  • I think the cases could go up or down. I think this could depend on how strict each school is on wearing masks, staying six feet apart, and using hand sanitizer. I think each school could be different depending on if they have cases go up or down. I think it can also depend on if they get exposed. Overall, I think that each school is going to be different in whether they go full-time, hybrid, or online.

    • I think that the cases will start to go up now that we are back in school full time because students are not properly using there mask, using hand sanitizer, and they are not staying 6 feet apart.
