Its hard to decide if it should be shorter or longer. I would go with Shorter. Only for the reasoning that you wont be in school longer than you have to be, not behind on school work, and still have the weekend and one day off. Studies show that when children get too many days off of school for a holiday that their brains aren't functioning the right way they should be for school. It puts students in a tough spot for getting caught up.
After break all kids wanna do is talk about what they did over break, and not focus on school work. I think breaks from school are much needed. Kids need some time away from school. Easter break and Spring break are just so close to the end of the year. There is not enough time to be missing more than 4 days of school. That gives us 4 days that we will be behind on the teachers teaching schedule. Studies show that most teachers around the world don't see the point of missing any school when Easter is on a Sunday. I think we should have a longer spring/easter break, especially in high school because students typically don't get enough sleep during the day. If the breaks were to be extended, it could give students an opportunity to (in a sense) heal our mentality and feel better when they come back.
I definitely think that easter break should be a little bit longer I do not think that easter break is long enough. I think they should make it 2 days longer that would be a good break for students. I do not think missing 4 days would be bad for kids I think it is good for students to have a break.
Although I would like Easter break to be shorter so we can get out of school for the summer longer, for personal reasons it is as long as it is. Many families travel over the Easter break to be with family. I think that it is a good break for many to reboot, but sometimes it's too long of a reboot.
I think that eastern break should be longer, so that siblings for example can spend more time with their sister or brother from college. In Germany we have two weeks easter break and it is great to travel to spain, italy or other countries. It is nice to go somewhere warm in that time.
I don't think missing four days of school will hurt kids in their learning. I think breaks are good for kids considering how hard classes have gotten. I feel like I definitely need a break and I am just waiting for Friday to come. If anything I think a longer break would be even better. Especially since we didn't have very many snow days.
I think that spring break is the perfect length right now. I understand why people want it longer, but personally I don't want to be in school any longer than I have to. Although a longer break would be nice, it isn't realistic for the students or the teachers. After a long spring break, students begin to lose focus in school and only care about summer break.
I agree. Only for the fact of the more school days we miss, the more we have to stay in school. I believe it is the perfect length as it is right now. There is tons of benifits for it being longer and shorter.
Yes, I think that spring break should be longer because students and teachers need a mental break and need some time away. I think that the school should extend the break so that kids are able to have a stress free week away from school.
I think students and teachers need both Spring break and Easter break because even though they are so close to each other they are beneficial. School can be wearing on some people and makes them burnt out and having a break is good. No, I do not agree with teachers on this topic.
I think the amount of time we have for spring break is good. Obviously, I would want them to be longer but that isn't realistic. With summer break right around the corner I think we are fine with only having 4 days off. Any less and it wouldn't be very much of a break.
