A lot of people have had their opinion about the orcas that are in captivity at SeaWorld. There are over three dozen of them. All these opinions have SeaWorld questioning whether or not to retire these gentle giants. The only problem with these killer whales it that most of them were born in captivity and have no survival skills like hunting seals and catching fish. These whales also don't know the migration routes of those in the wild and have formed no social grouping.
My opinion is that they should retire them from being in shows and used for entertainment and build them a place where they can just all be together and relaxed. Kind of like a retirement home but for killer whales.

I think they should retire the whales because it's inhumane to use them for entertainment. They are stuck in tiny pools that don't allow them to get enough exercise. They are also used as pets, which they aren't. They are meant to be wild animals and should have never been used as entertainment. Now they have no chance of survival because they don't know how to hunt, socialize, or migrate. They will die in human captivity instead of in the ocean where they belong.
I agree. They need to be retired and given proper space to be able to move freely.
I think that Sea World should keep the orcas because they are and have always been part of the Sea World attractions. With out the orcas, I believe that Sea World would lose a lot of customers and money.
I agree, but is it always about money? what if the animals are unhappy? I think they should do what is best for the animals
Should because I don't think the orcas think being watch for hours on end for they natural daily lives now I know some of the things the Whales do have been taught, but do the whales even like it.
I wonder if they could have some scientific evidence showing how the whales feel. Maybe then the government or someone higher up could get involved and do something about this.
I agree but yet I think it nice seeing them do tricks and learn all that but maybe they should but them back every night and get a new whale and use a new one each week or every day. Also maybe get the baby whales and use them more till they are older and then let them go and be together and relax because that what they need.

I think that they should retire from all of the shows too. I think they would like to just relax and be together instead of doing all the tricks and entertainment. Yes it was nice to see them do the entertainment but I think eventually it would be a good idea to retire.
