Should school days be shorter?

I think school days should be shorter. There would be many benefits to this. One benefit students would have is more free time to do hobbies. If you are in an after school sport you know that you get home late every night and don't have much time to do anything else. If school days were shorter, practices would end earlier. Students would also have more time to do homework, which would relieve some stress

 

With having shorter school days it means there would be shorter classes. This would increase concentration. Many kids cannot sit in class and actually pay attention for that long of time periods. This would lead to better grades and better understanding of the concepts students are learining. If there were shorter school days students could go to teachers after class to get something re-taught, or to learn more about the subject since there would be more time after the school day is done.

 

Another benefit would be more family time. Now many parents wouldn't have shorter work days but when students get home they can do their homework. This means that when there parents get home they could actually spend time with their kids rather than helping them with homework. This would also benefit students becaue they would be able to get more sleep. Getting out earlier from school wouuld mean students could get to bed earlier, and sleep is very important to teens and young children.

I believe that all students would benefit from having a shorter school day, especially the ones involved in many extra-curriculares. By having a shorter school day, you are able to finish practices earlier, get your homework done earlier, and get to sleep earlier as well. Many students would benefit greatly if we were to have shorter days schools.

School days should be shortened. They should be shortened because teenagers and younger people do not have the attention span that adults have. Shortening the school day would also allow for teens to work. This would help benefit them because they are able to make money and start saving for college or a house when they are living on their own.

I think school days should be shorter. I think overall it would benefit the majority of people. I think that the main key is getting people to sleep earlier. Many times night is when most people are active because they are finally finished with work, sports, homework and more. This will soon lead to better sleep schedules.

I think school day should be shortened but not by a lot since younger people don't have as high of an attention span as older people do. So a lot of students just sit there in class and don't listen to what is being taught so there is no point of even being there if you don't learn.

I think schoo daysl should be shorter because of the extra time it gives students. Instead of staying up all night and doing homework, they could get it done earlier in the day with time to spare. It would also help the students focus in class, which many struggle with.

I think having shorter school days would be nice and beneficial since you could get plenty of time for homework, after school practices, and still get enough sleep. On the other hand having shorter days would also probably mean having a longer school year, less breaks, and a shorter summer.
