I know many students that want or have tattoos, but should they be able to. Tattoos have been around for a long time. They are often used as reminders to memories or people. Tattoos are a lifelong commitment. I believe that many students aren’t mature enough to decide what images they want to permanently ink on their bodies. Although many people would say it should be my body my choice when it comes down to it your parents are the ones that have to give you permission anyway. Many times these minors can regret their decision. It can cost as much or more to remove a tattoo depending on size than it did to get the tattoo in the first place.
I think that students shouldn’t be allowed to permanently alter their bodies until they are 18. Many people grow up and change throughout high school. This includes the things they like and their style. What if they end up not liking the tattoo in the end? Tattoos are lifelong and sometimes very expensive commitments that I don’t think minors are ready to handle. People’s brains aren’t even fully developed until they are 25. I think that if you really want a tattoo when you are 16 you can wait two years and if you still want the tattoo then you can get it. Tattoos can also affect your future. They could be the reason that you don’t get the job that you want depending on what kind of tattoo you are to get.
What do you think about tattoos?
Would you let your child get a tattoo?
DO you think that minors should be able to get tattoos with parent consent?

Love the topic Ava! I don't think it has ever been done before. You did a great job with focusing on your thoughts within your summary but I do think you could have educated people on the actual laws on this topic a bit more and also see if there are any studies on this that has ever been done. Also be sure to reply back on three different days next time and not just on one day.
I think that it should be a personal opinion I don't think that there should be a set age. I think the person should be able to decide so I don't think little kids should be able to but if the tenagers are choosen too they should be able to with a parent consent.
I think tattoos are cool and can look very good on some people. I think it is okay for a minor to get a tattoo with parental consent, if it were me personally, my child would have to want it for at leady 6 months before actually getting it, and if later on in their life if they don't like it then that is on them because they should know that tattoos are permanent for the rest if their life.
I think tattoos are very cool and can express yourself in many ways. If my child thinks that is the right thing then he should, i would say that he must remember that it will be stay for live time and he would have to pay for it.
I think anyone should have the right to express themselves. If this means they cover their body in tattoos, that's fine by me. Personally, I do not want any tattoos, but that does not mean I would go out of my way to stop people from pursuing them.
I think tattoos are a type of art. I personally wouldnt let my child get a tattoo because that just being a good parent. I think minors should be able to get tattoos but it would have to not be all over their body.
I personally like tattoos, and I feel that as long as they aren't "too much" they look very cool. I would let my kid get a tattoo once they are at least a sophomore as long as its not something they will regret later. I feel that minors should be able to get tattoos with parental consent.
Yeah I would agree that if it is something you think they won't regret that it could be okay.
I definetly think that people under the age of 18 should be able to get tattoos. If I was a parrent I would problably let my child get a tattoo if they were above the age of 14. I definetly think that minors should be able to get tattoos if they have a parrents consent to do so.
I think it depends on what kind of tattoo you are getting, if you are getting some random smiley face as someone under 18 I think no. Sometimes though they may get them when a loved one dies or gets over a disease or sickness. I would let my kid get a tattoo if it was of major importance.
