As of right now the minimum wage for workers across the United States is 7.25. Many people believe that the minimum wage should be raised to around $10.00, while some people believe that it should be raised to $15.00 an hour. Not all states follow the federal minimum wage. States such as Arizona and Alaska have changed the minimum wage. Alaska's minimum wage is at $10.34 and Arizonas is at $12.15. Many states still follow the federal minimum wage. 21 states still have the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour. Many states do not believe in only paying the average worker minimum wage.
I personally believe that it would be ok if the minimum wage was raised to something like 9 or 10 dollars an hour. I think it would be ridiculous if it was raised to something like $15 an hour. Many businesses would struggle if they had to pay all of their workers $15 an hour. Then you would have to make it fair by raising other workers wages to make it fair. I also think it would be ok if they raised it just a little because you can not make a living by making just $7.25 an hour. There is no way you would be able to live a decent life. I think it would be ok if they just raised it by a few dollars and kept it at something realistic. I do not think that it is realistic for them to raise it to something like 15 or 16 bucks an hour because many businesses, mainly small businesses, would probably go under and not be able to continue doing what they were doing.
Do you think the minimum wage should be raised?
If so, what do you think it should be raised to?

Well done overall Gunner! I would like to see your summary be a bit longer. This is a big topic so it could have been.
I think that minimum wage should be raised to around $9 just to somewhat keep up with inflation. However, if the miniumum wage is increased items you buy will seem cheaper for a short amount of time until the prices rise due to people making more money.
I feel that minimum wage should be raised just so people could pay for things they need easier. I feel it is hard on less fortunate people and raising their wage would help them a lot. I feel it could be around 9.50 so it is a bit of a better amount to make a living off of.
I think that the minimum wage should be raised, but not by a lot, so businesses can still afford to high workers. I think the minimum wage should be raised to $9.50 an hour depending on how hardworking the worker is. Another reason why the minimum wage should be increased in my opinion should be because a lot of prices for things are going up, espicallly gas, so if we don't pay them enough the workers may not have enough money from their paycheck to buy the things they need to live.
i don't not think that the wage should be raised very much. Yes, 7.25 is not enough to make a living but if you are getting paid 7.25 you are doing something wrong like not working harde enough or you are working the wrong job. If it is raised too high, small businesses will go under and many stores will have to raise the prices of their stuff cuz they would be paying people too much.
I don't think minimum wage should go up because then the value of things will probably go up. I dont think it shold be raised and also some companys can't afford to pay a higher wage so basically I do not think that minimum wage should not be raised for some of these reasons.
I do think minimum wage should be raised but i agree with you that if it does get raised it should not go up very much. I think a good minimum wage would be somewhere around 9.50-9.75. This way minimum wage workers are making decent money and inflation doesn't get much worse.
I don't think that the minimum wage should be raised too much because some businesses won't be able to afford many workers if they have to pay them too much. I think that the minimum wage should be different for people who have to support themselves versus highschool students.
I agree that many businesses would struggle to pay their payroll.
