Should isasp test be issued at schools?
ISASP (Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress) was developed in 1935 and has been given to 3-11 grade students in the category of mathematics, reading, and biology. ISASP was developed to meet the requirements federal every student Success Act (ESSA). Witch is a U.S law passed in December 2015 to hold students accountable for how students learn and achieve.
ISASP is a state standardized test that mostly everybody took here recently and most people did not like taking it. I have heard teachers say that they don't like giving the ISASP test. I personally don't like ISASP testing and think that it should not be given at school. Some people might argue this and say isasp is good and that it is a way for teachers to see what you know and what you don't. People might also say that it is good because if people score high the school gets more state funding. I completely agree but I feel that our knowledge can be tested besides something other than a large state standardized test.
ISASP is a test that a lot of people get stressed over, including teachers and other school staff. Isasp gets teachers stressed because they have to initiate a full online test and technology doesn't always work the best. Teachers also have to make sure that there are no posters, pictures, or lettering on the walls that could help any student in any way. Isasp also stresses out students because there are 3-5 important tests that are in a week and if they don't score proficient then they lose more privileges when they get further on in high school. Isasp also stresses out other school staff like computer techs because during the testing a lot of things can go wrong with the computer or the app that ISASP is on.

Great topic choice and well done Anthony! You did a great job replying to people! This topic has not been done before so +5. Be sure to capitalize key words in the title.
I don't think that Iowa Assesments should be amidistrated because they don't do anything for the student, but give the school info on their teaching. However most kids don't try when they take Iowa Assesments since they know that they don't matter so does no good to administer the Iowa Assesments.
I don't think ISASP should be administered due to the fact that it stresses out people and when people are stressed out they tend to not do as well when they are under pressure. I don't think open campus should be based on you ISASP scores at all due to the fact that some of the stuff on the test you might not know.
ISASP should be administrated because the test results need to be accurate, and keep the integrity of the tests. I do think that we should be able to do homework on our computers after we take the test tho. Some teachers do not give out homework on paper and that makes it hard for you to do the homework after you have compleated the test.
I think that Iowa assesments are a waste of time because we do not need to waste are time taking the test, I think that the classes you go into should just depend on what yur gpa is rather than wasting our time taking standarized tests that none trys on and just skips over.
I think that ISASP test should not be administered because just because you do bad on one test you shouldn't be just graded for that one test. I think that they should just go by our GPA to grade kids because it is the whole year not just one test. I think that open campus should be in ISASP too.
I think that ISASP's are important for our state to understand where we are at development but it can be a very stressful time for students.
In my opinion the ISASP are definitely no ones favorite, but I definitely think that they come in handy for teachers to know where we stand at. Other ways that the state could test our knowledge are by the homework they can assign us. But there is a higher chance of students cheating then during a ISASP. I think that your open campus privilege's shouldn't just depend on your ISASP results. Possibly just homework and other assignments.
I think that ISASP should not matter because if someone fails it, they don’t get to have an open campus. I think that it is unfair for the people who are trying so hard and still can't pass. So, I think that the ISASP should be abolished. It doesn't matter if a student passes the ISASP
No, I think there are better ways to see our improvments and see what we know and don't know. Its bad ofr people that are advanced because the test is over stuff they learned the year before and kids that failed a class and have to retake they won't know anything and it won't show what they know
