Many people can't afford to pay for their medical bills. Health insurance can be rediculosly expensive at times and without it could be even more pricey. 27.5 million people in the United States don't even have health insurance. If you don't have health insurance your checkups, perscriptions, surgeries, everything medically related is priced unrealistically. If healthcare were to be a free right for everyone then there would be no more worries about paying for their medicine that is essential for them to stay alive, there would be a way less people who are trying to "tough it out". In my opinion it would be nice if healthcare was free but i don't think it's realisitc. Healthcare quality would most likely go down and hospitals would lose a lot of money. They would still have the taxpayer's money but they would still have a tight budget to be working with. Free healthcare for all is a nice thought but is just simply not a realistic situation.
Should healthcare be free?
Would healthcare quality go down?
Would hospitals have less money?

Good topic choice Sarah! Overall, your summary is brief and you didn't comment to any students which is worth 30 points. -10 one day late.
I dont think that health care should be free because it would just make taxes go up and that would not be good. I also think that people should not have to pay for other peoples health care like they would do through taxes if the United states had free healthcare.
I don't think it should be free because I have Euopean friends and we know they all have free healthcare. They do not have the quality we do because we have specialists that we do like skin care and other things. They also take more time to get things done like surgery and other things.
I believe that healthcare should be free. It can lead to saving many lives and allow everyday basic acess for people. There isn't a good reason why people should refrain from visiting the docoter simply because they can't afford it. I feel that if people in the healthcare system truly care about there jobs and care about people, they will provide the same amount quality. I don't think hospitals would have less money either. If taxes are raised slighty higher, depending on your income, hospitals should be able to have around the same amount of money. I also don't agree with people saying its not possible or "realistic". If it wasn't possible, then why have other countries been successfuly providing free healthcare and have a good economy.
In some cases it would be nice if health care was free, but then it would just make taxes go up so we would have to pay for it after all. I don't know if the quality of the health care would go down or up. Nurses and doctors may not get as much money either.
It would be nice for some people if health care was free, but it's not possible, due to hospitals losing money, taxes being raised, and overall would make a big majority of people mad. I do think healthcare quality would go down if all healthcare was free, giving another con on why healthcare shouldn't be free. So, no I don't think healthcare should be free.
It would be amazing if healthcare was free but in our country today I do not think that it is realistic as someone has to pay for it if it and many people would not want their taxes to go up. In the end of it the people who need the free healthcare would have to end up paying for in their taxes and may end up paying more than they usually would.
I don't that it should be totally free but some things in the health care system are way too expensive. I also don't think that its realistic to have free healthcare. I think that if hospitals and doctors weren't paid as much money then they might not be as high quality or run as well. The money is important to help with safe and well-run hospitals but I think there should be ways for people to get to the doctor even if they don't have the money.
I dont think healthcare should be free, but it would be awesome if it was free. Healthcare is really expensive and it should go down a little bit because not everybody who needs healthcare can afford it. And if Healthcare was free, theres nobody to pay for it.
