As everyone knows the legal drinking age in America is 21. Although, in many countries the drinking age is either 16 or 18. Such as Cuba, Panama, and more, legalize drinking for 16 and older. In France, Canda, Mexico, Italy, and many more, the legal age is 18. Many people have their own thoughts on what age is appropriate for drinking alcohol.
I feel that the drinking age in America should be lowered to 18. Once you turn 18 you’re by law considered an adult. If you’re legally able to live on your own, buy a house, and go into the military at that age you should be able to make the choice to drink or not. If America lowered its drinking age to 18, it would join the 61 percent of the countries that have the drinking age of 18 or 19.
Other people think that it should stay legal for people that are 21 and older. One of the reasons why people think it should stay the same is because they think that drinking under 21 links to many immature decisions like car crashes, suicide, and alcohol poisoning. I disagree with them because you should be able to know your limits and know when to make the right decisions.
In conclusion, the drinking age in America should be lowered to 18 because you should be able to make your own decision and take responsibility for your own actions.
Do you think the drinking age should be lowered? Why or why not?

Everything you said I agree with. espeically since there is so much more you can do once you hit 18, alchol shouldn't be such a problem.
I personally think that lowering the drinking age could be dangerous as in the US we have many problems with drunk driving, and deaths that come from that. But also like you said at the age of 18 you are considered an adult and should be able to make responsible choices when it comes to alcohol.
In my opinion drinking age should be lowered to the age of 18 because you legally become an adult by then. At 18 you can do so many things. If you're educated then you should be able to make your own choices about what your consuming.
No just because you are responble to pay taxes doesnt mean your responble enough to drink there is a whole alot of responblity behind that
I so disagree with what you said. The point of me staying that you start paying taxes is me saying that if people are responsible of doing that each month, being able to live on their own, being able to buy their own house, able to join the military and fight for our country. Then, drinking wouldn't be a bad idea for the drinking age to be 18. There is so many resposiblities you do when you're 18 so you should be able to handle alchol.
I completely agree with you. If eighteen year olds are able to live on their own and pay taxes they should also be able to drink aswell. Compared to other countries U.S. has a higher drinking age. So I feel it should be lowered to 18. Right now I do not think 21 is right.
Exaclty, I agree with what you said. If they don't make smart choices than that's on them.
In my opinion drinking age should be lowered to 18 because we officialy become an adult at the age 18. And no matter how harmful it is which we know it's consequences, it becomes our right to consume what we want. And i don't think alcohol is the only thing that causes damage to a persons mentality and health.
I agree what you said, and by the time you're 18 you should know what the right thing to do is.
I feel that if in the US they considered you an adult at the age of 18. And they think you are able to live on your own and start your adult life at this age. They should also allow you to drink at this age. I think that everyone knows what they are doing and if they want or don't want to drink. I also think that everyone knows the issues that can start by doing this and it is their own responsibility to take care of themselves.
