Many know of the death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020. Many people have their opinions about this case. This incident basically caused the BLM riots. The world turned upside down. This also led to professional athletes kneeling to the national anthem. There are many questions leading up to this. Did the officer mean to kill George Flotd? Did George Floyd die due to the officer? There are many answers to these questions.
George Floyd was first arrested for using a fake 20 dollar bill to buy cigarettes. 17 minutes later the cops had him pinned under the cop car. Many don't know what happened before he was pinned. In the videos shown they only really show the officer kneeling on his head and hearing George Floyd say he cannot breathe. Before this George Floyd was resisting to get in the car. He was wasn't putting his head down to get in the car so his head kept hitting the top of the car. When they got him in the car he slid to the other side of the car trying to get out. He kept fighting with the cops.
This is where he got on the ground because they couldn't keep him in the car. Then Derek Chauvin began to lean his knee on Floyd's neck. But, I believe the cause of his death wasn't mainly the cop. He had heart issues and was using drugs. What the cop did was not right but seeing George Floyd resisting in the car there wasn't much else to do. Floyd got worked up with the crowed around him and the situation he was in. With this said I beleive he shouldn't be sentenced for life but for a short time.

Due To many studys even though he was on many drugs and on most of then exceeding legal limits and the bodys limits they think it was because of loss of air rather than the many drugs that he had been taking before the incident.
The cause of death of George Floyd is something that will only ever be known by George himself. The discussion of how he died is so split between the right and the left it is way too controversal, because many will say it was the drugs and pre-existing conditions that killed him while others say it was the police officer and only the police officer that killed him. I feel it is a very loaded question to ask.
I don't know what to think about this because his death could have been from his conditions, drugs, or the police. I don't know if he should be sentanced to life or not, but that decision is not for me to make and it is very hard to say what should happen to him.
This whole entire event is on par with the Rodney King beating. I don't think we will ever know for sure if the knee was the main cause or one of the causes of George Floyd's death. There many problems with him when he was pinned down. However, the man should have dealt with the situation better.

I do not think he should be sentenced to life and actually I think he should also be in jail for a while to think back on his actions that he did while this also will quell other peoples anger. While I do think other people's anger is really stupid or should I just say illogical. Think about it the cop was taking necessary actions to get away or run, but why he only used a fake dollar bill to buy something he wouldn't have died if he didn't resist. The drugs couldv'e been the problem he saw stuff or heard stuff when on them and thought he had to run or something like that. I also think that with his heart problems his anxiety was through the roof so they have a likely cause of heart attack and death or something along the like that would get him killed. The people didn't take the facts into the equation and only looked at him biased another reason why rumors, humans, and interest can kill a person or worse. Rumors affect you and your mentality will take a hit. Then their is humans because humans hurt/kill humans a lot. Than interest if your interest aligns with someone for the better it is good, but for the worse you are enemies and hurt each other. This case is one of rumors/opinions of him being presented instead of evidence and looking at everyone equally.
There are many factors that the people don't know about. We don't see everything that happens when it comes to things like these. It is no ones position to decide whether or not he should be charged. That is the courts decision. We don't know the amount of pressure that was applied to his neck and little details like that.
I agree because it is a question that will always be up for debate and the answer will never be cut and dry. I dont think its anyones right to just assume what happened, the only person who really knows the cause of death is George. The question is not ours to answer.
I dont think he deserves life in prison but do think he deserves some other kind of punishment though. I dont know if he was accually on his neck so i do believe that he died due to drugs and herat problems.
