Some argue that college should be a requirement for NBA/NFL athletes. They believe that attending college shows athletes further develops their skills and knowledge of the game. College provides a structured environment where athletes are able to receive professional coaching, access to high level facilities, and compete against many other talented players. Additionally, college offers a valuable education that can serve as a backup plan if their professional sports career doesn’t work out. It gives athletes life skills, critical thinking abilities, and a broader perspective that can benefit them beyond the sports field. On the other side of the argument, people believe that these talented athletes should have the freedom to pursue their professional careers straight out of high school. They argue that highschool athletes may not need the additional years in college, as they may already have the necessary talent and have the potential for success. By entering the NBA or NFL earlier, these athletes can start earning a living sooner and provide financial support for not only themselves and their families. The professional sports industry offers great opportunities for growth and development that cannot be made up in a college setting. Finally, the question of whether college should be a requirement for NBA/NFL athletes has turned into a popular question recently. It involves weighing the benefits of college education, skill development, and personal growth against the potential opportunities and financial stability that professional sports can offer. Both sides of the debate have valid points, and the decision should consider the individual circumstances and their goals of the athletes. It’s a topic that inspires discussions and the ongoing debate of what's best for the future of sports and the athletes themselves. In my opinion I think that they shouldn’t be required to attend college before going professional. I think this because it should be their choice, and there shouldn’t be a choice made for them.
Do you think athletes should be required to go to college?
If yes, how many years should they go for?
Do you think they learn other necessary skills at college?

I personally belive athletes need to go to college before going pro. College sports will really show what kind of athlete you are, high school you can always have a easy division and a good team. In a college coaches will see you more and see if you are the athlete people think you are.
I think athletes should not be required to play sports in college before playing in the pro leagues. However, that is only based on their athletics. I think all athletes should attend college for the education, just like everyone else. I think the majority of athletes, if they skipped college, would be unprepared in the real world, not necessarily the sports world.
I totally agree with your opinion. I personally think that they should not have to attend college if they are good enough at their sport and can go straight to the professional league straight out of highschool. Although, college should be greatly encouraged.
Personally i do not think that athletes with the amount of skill they have should nto have to play in college before they play professonally because if they are skilled enough why not let them advance, However there are probably many benefits of playing college before steping up to professional.
I agree with you, there are many benefits for playing in college after highschool, and not just going straight to the professionals right after highschool. But it should be up to the athlete and their family, and the decision shouldn't be made for them.
I think they should, because I also saw in baseball how some of them failed after high schhol once they were in the minors. They should go to college for atleast 2-5 years. I think they will learn more skills by seeing another coach with a different perspective of the game as every coach is different.
I understand you r opinion and where you are coming from, but I think it should be up to the ahtlete if they want to attend college or not. If the athlete thinks that they are good enough to go pro and don't think college necessary. If they end up not making it in the professionals, then that mistake is on the athlete.
