Omaha is a completely different place than here. I'm not worried that anything will happen here ever because people live completely different lives there.
It's scary to think things like this happen so near and to friends and family. It really hits home knowing Omaha is only an hour away. Hopefully everyone, including Millard students and all others who hear about it, learns from this and takes pro-active steps to prevent tragic events like this from occuring again.
that would be SUCH a terrifying experience. i certainly don't think it was the right thing to do, and im not sure of all the details, but he was obviously angry about something, so maybe if someone would have gone out of their way to talk to him, maybe this wouldn't have happened.
There was another shooting threat, kind of, at Gross High School last night too. Someone called in and said that someone had a gone there while basketball practice was going on. They had the school locked so no one could get in or out and they searched all the rooms and stuff. My mom's friend's daughter goes at that school, and I think they called in just for attention... What is wrong with these people these days?
this is so sad! it's sad that the gunman didn't think of how he was affecting the people that he shot. they probably had families and students that looked up to them. i wish that he would have went and talked to someone about how he was feeling before he took such drastic measures. it's really crazy that this is happening so close to us
this is said its scary to even go to omaha anymore with the shootings they keep having and they just keep getting closer its like you cant even feel safe in school anymore with all the violence going on well i feel bad for the familes affected in this
you cant blame the father and others for his actions. his dad has a job as a coop so it would be very easy for the kid to sneak out.. and as for the gun how do you know that he didnt steal the keys or whatever.. dont blame the father for what his son did.. its hard enough to have a full time job let alone raise a high school teenager.. i feel sorry for his family becasue they prolly do blame themselves for what he did..
I think the only reason this kid was driven to shooting the Asst. Principal was because she suspended him for driving on the football field when it was iced/snowed over on new years. And the news also said he was picked on a few times.
This is absolutely horrible. I don't understand why people think that doing this will help their problems go away, and then he killed himself, so he just caused pain for his family, and other peoples families. the principle and vice principal didn't deserve to die, no one deserves to die. If I were the students at Millard I would be seriously freaked out to go back to school tomorrow. i guess we should just be glad it hasn't happened here.
