Shocking Power

Normally when people think of super cars, they don't think of electric powered cars. That might not be the case for long.

The Rimac Concept_One puts out 1018 horsepower, goes 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 190 mph. All of this while maintaining a distance of 372 miles per charge. The entire car has been designed, manufactured, and assembled by the 25 year olds company in Croatia. The 5 cars he has built all have a price tag of $1,000,000, $300,000 below the price of the gasoline powered Bugatti Veyron.

I personally think that electric super cars will become more popular in upcoming years, at least for people who can afford them.

What kind of super car would you want, electric or gas, and why?

  • Well done!!

  • I really don't believe these so called super cars will pick up steam any time soon. They are simply too expensive. There just isn't that big of a market for that type of product.

  • Fossil fuel is a terrible source of energy.. everyday its supply is getting lower and lower and eventually the world is going to dry up of all fossil fuels and coal as well. I just hope we get better at different forms of energy fast or its back to the dark ages.

    • So much of what we depend on is dwindling fossil fuels. I agree that it would be a major setback until we set up new world technologies.

  • I think that super cars are the way to go to help stop global warming.  They would be a great way to help the enivornment, but then the price of gas might go up from people owing more smart cars.

  • electric cars could potentially end terrorism!

i say this because the middle east relies on the fossil fuels so much were they would be nothing without them. if we were to go all electric in america we would not have near the demand for fossil as we do now. the middle east would be helpless so in that way terrorist would have no money and no power causing them not to be able to carry out the attacks

    • That is a very interesting thought. Im not too sure how likely that is to happen, but it could!

  • I think an electric car would come in handy when you just made short trips everyday because it would be much cheaper. I dont think i would want one all the time though.

  • Well that does sound pretty sweet gas and electric both have there pros and cons but it seems to me that if you could avoid the burning process of gasoline it would be better and safer going at high miles per hour but gas obviously has worked for years and will probably always remain as a fuel source for cars

    • I can see gasoline being relevant for many more years to start, but I doubt that it will last for ever. We will have to figure something out eventually.
