Brett McBride, A shark wrangler  from the Galapagos had a great idea to fall asleep during a shark feeding frenzy while amongst them. He Swam down into the ocean and fell asleep to show that everybody's opinion about sharks is wrong, and "If you are not interested in them, they are not interested in you."

I don't think I would just because I am not around them but if I was around them all day I would consider it.

What do you think? Would you swim down to sleep with sharks?

  • So what happened to him? Be sure to summarize the whole story. You could have also replied to a few more comments.

  • This man has a crazy amount of courage to even attempt to do this. I personally would not have been able to sleep with the sharks just because I am not around them all the time, and also because I don't know very much about them and their behavior.

  • Well, that's like saying "Huh it seems like a great idea to go climb the side of this volcano, while its about erupt."

  • yes levi is right there is still always freak accidents and you never know when one is going to happen so he had to have a lot of luck that something didn't happen

  • I think this man is insane. I can see him wanting to prove a point, but this seems a bit extreme. I would never do this. I would only consider doing this if I knew more about sharks.

  • This is scary! I could never try this but I think I could try to swim with sharks. That would be fun.

  • I would never do something like this...There's still going to be that freak incident where something goes wrong and I'm not about to take my chances.

  • I think it takes real courage to be able to do something like this, however, I would never do it to prove a point. If sharks are something he is passionate about then I understand, but they are still wild animals that are known for attacks.

  • YEs he must really really trust the sharks to be able to go asleep and have no control on what the sharks do.

  • I would be way too scared and I don't think every shark is going to behave the same. personally I think he got lucky.
