A little brief on the descriptions, especially for this post. No question posed in this post. Great job replying to student comments!
My biggest question is how big is the shark, because that would help determine how close she was to shore. I've been around sharks before, but none of them were aggressive they just ignored me. This leads me to believe she stepped on it and the shark panicked.
I feel that they need more lifeguards looking out for sharks. Or just not let people swim or surf in some areas of the ocean. Even though shark attacks happen so its not like you can stop it.
its really not all that weird. if sharks dont know what something is they will bite it to see if its something they want to eat. and this shark didnt want to eat the girl
She should of been more aware of what was around. How far out was she? If she was far out then that was not very smart of her to do that. She just needs to be more aware from now on when she goes in the water.
she wasnt really all that far out. there were just a lot of bate fish and the sharks were up closer to feed on the fish. and yeah she should have been more aware of what was around her
I would have to agree with some of the comments below because the sharks aren't entering where we live. We are entering where the sharks live. Every time someone is entering the ocean, they are pretty much risking there life. I don't feel sorry for the girl because it was her choice on going into the ocean where there are the sharks and she is there bate.
right sharks have every right to protect their home. its their home not ours we have no say on what they do. she should have been more carefull
At least it wasn't a fatal bite. It probably hurt a lot, but it could have been a lot worse if it would have gotten hold of an arm or leg and torn it completely off.
yeah luckily she gets to keep her foot most ppl aren't that lucky and end up not having a limb
