Semi, truck, and two buses crash.

On August 5th, 2010, at about 10:15  a.m. a crash happened on Interstate 44. A semi slowed down while approaching a construction zone. The pickup truck wasn't paying attention and crashed into the back of the semi's trailer. A couple of seconds later a school bus hit the truck, and then another school bus hit the other school bus. The first bus then propelled onto the top of the pickup killing the driver of the pickup truck. It is believed that the driver of the pickup truck was texting at the time. After all this was over, two were dead and 50 were injured.

This is one of the worst thing i heard and saw over the news. It's just another reason why you shouldn't text or talk on your phone while driving.

  • quite the shame. if only bluetooth headphones didn't look so stupid or this kinda thing wouldn't happen
  • thats awful. i admit i totally txt and drive. but apparently that guy sucked at it. but its not worth getting killed. maybe i should stop haha
  • Texting while driving is something i will never do! i watched a life changing video in drivers ed about it and i have convinced my mom to stop too. I agree with leah, there are warning signs for construction so that semi should have had plenty of time to slow down, same with the truck behind the semi. This could have been easily avoided.
  • it was deffialty the 1st bus drivers fault. i mean they always post at least 10 signs before the construct site. and they are bright orange how can you miss that???
