SCP-Foundation

What is the SCP-Foundation?

The SCP-Foundation is a collaborative writing wiki. The wiki originated in the "paranormal" /x/ forum of 4chan by an anonymous user. The anonymous user started the project by creating the first ever SCP, SCP-173, The Sculpture, in 2007. A stand-alone wiki was created in January 2008 on the EditThis wiki hosting service to display the SCP articles. The themes of the SCP-Foundation have covered urban legends, science fiction, eldritch horror, history, mystery, creepypasta, and nature.

In the 1800 Scp-001, The Gate Guardian, told James Aaron Siegel to prepare. James Aaron Siegel retired as an American scientist to become known as 05-1. The SCP-Foundation is kept secret from the world, although country leaders know about it. James named the foundation the SCP-Foundation for Secure, Contain, Protect- Foundation.

The personnel classes are listed alphabetically from a to e.  A-class personnel is always the 05-council. A-class must know about all anomalies, but don't have access to the anomalies themselves. B-class personnel are site-directores, and can only  access objects, entities, and anomalies that have passed quarantine. C-class personnel are the mobile tasks forces, scientist, security guards, and janitors. C-class personnel have access to all anomalies depending on their level clearance. D-class personnel are prison inmates that are on death row. E-class personnel are contained because they have been exposed to dangerous SCPs.

The anomalies have a number assigned to them and have classes attached to them. The classes are Safe, Euclid, Keter, Thaumiel, and Apollyon. Safe classes are anomalies that don't need any special containment procedures like SCP-999, tickle monster. Euclid anomalies reduire more resources to contain completely or containment isn’t always reliable like SCP-096, Shy Guy. SCPs like SCP-682, indestructible lizard, are keter class anomalies because they are exceedingly difficult to contain. Thaumiel class SCPs like SCP-3000, Anantashesha, which are used to contain other SCPs. SCP-6000-Jay is an apollyon class that is impossible to contain.

                    • No the Tooth Fairy wouldn't be able to have a kid. Some SCPs like SCP-131 has multiple creatures that are like brother and sister. SCP-131-A is an orange Eyepod, while SCP-131-B is a yellow Eyepod.

                    • so you are saying that the tooth fairy couldn't have a child? Sad. Can there be more than one monster thingy to an SCP? Like can there be two different types of monsters in one name? how about the same type?

                    • Only SCP-231 which is seven females that were cursed by the Scarrlet King to give birth to anomalies like SCP-682 and SCP-999 are the only ones that can give birth. The neutralized class is for anomalies that lost their power or died. There are entire alien SCPs colonies that are divided into parts.

                    • So the SCP's can have children? if so, technically the tooth fairy and Santa could have children together? Have any of the SCP's died? Or do they become retired? Also, does it ever prove that there are aliens?

                    • The cantainment procedures differ from creature to creature. There is no Area 51 in the foundation, but if the foundation and Area 51 went to war, the airforce base ould have troubles against the foundation because there are 100 of flying SCPs, and if the kids of SCP-231 and the Scarlet King were to get in trouble, the leader of SCPs, Scarlet King, would most likely attack Area 51.

                    • Oh, so people write about them. Alrighty, you talked about containing them. How would one contain them? What are the containment procedures? Also does this have anything to do with Area 51?

                    • People all around the wourld are writing about the anomalies. The foundation is just a world wide wiki that is just being monitered by the wiki itself, seeing as they want to change SCP-173 because the design was taken from Izumi Kato, a japanesse artist.

                    • So they are creating them? Like is this in a lab or is this like writing?

                    • July 25 and July 26 in 2008 had the most SCPs crated, There is not a limit on how many can be created it just takes time to create a brand new creature.

                    • So is only 7 allowed? Or can there be more?
