The Idea is the latest of a series for refreezing Earth's poles. This project is lead by 29-year-old architect Faris Rajak Kotahatuhaha. The group invented a submersible vessel that produces 16-foot-thick and 82-foot-wide hexagonal icebergs. The process starts with the submarine filling with seawater. Next, the salt is filtered out so the ice can freeze faster. A hatch is closes over the chamber to prevent the sun from melting the hexagon. Some believe this could repopulate the Artic by providing more ice for creatures to live on and help decrease rising sea levels. Glaciers have been decreasing from the increasing global warming. A majority of species are becoming extinct from the increasing temperatures throughout the world, especially in the Arctic. The animals in the Artic are used to frigid temperatures and are built for it. Increasing temperature is causing them to overheat and die.

Interesting topic and well done overall. Be sure to inlcude your personal thoughts within your summary.
Yes I am supportive, If it helps the animals and the enviorment. Other benefits could be that with the animals not dying then the people that live there will have food and they can hunt again cause the animals won't be going extint. and it will draw in more people and bring up that population along with tourists. It takes a couple hours to freeze ice in an ice tray, takes about a day to freeze a lake and if they are blocking out the heat from the sun I would think probly about the same time, so about a day.
I am supportive of this idea. I think it could allow many arctic species to repopulate. Another benefit this could bring is that we could possibly help global warming slow down. I think it takes a few days for the whole hexagon to freeze. This could possibly take longer depending on if all the salt gets out of the water.
It would most certainly lower temperatures in that area. The animals that live there are adapted to the freezing temperatures. Cooling down their area and providing more surface area of ice can repopulate the Artic with animals. Due to it being the sea, I doubt they could 100% extract the salt. Which means, yes, the hexagons would differ depending on how filtered the water is.
I think we need to do anything we can to keep the icebergs from melting and if they could prove this would work I would be supportive of it. I'm guessing this would take awhile, because it sounds like a process but we need to do something to save our planet no matter how long it takes.
I agree with you. No matter how much work or how long it takes, it needs to be done for our planet. Doing something now is more important than waiting until something drastic happens to the planet. This is a good start to helping the Earth and the species that live on it. They estimate our planet will die in about 30 years if we don't start doing something.
Yes because it could help save most of the population in the Poles since they need the cold to survive and aren't used to the heat so it would stop many animals from going extinct. I would say to freeze such a big chunk of water into a solid thing of ice it would take like a couple weeks to as long as a month
I am supportive of this idea and I think this plan has many benefits to it. It can help stabilize wildlife that lives in the polar areas of the world. I think it could take anywhere from a month to around maybe a month and a half to completely freeze.
Yes, Taryn. Extinction is a major problem these days. Some people believe that some animals going extinct isn't really a big deal. Most of these animals help us out in a big way. They control the amount of invasive species that interfere with other animals. Freezing water in the artic prevents flooding around the world. It also creates less severe weather if some of the sea is contained in these ice blocks.
I am supportive because it is a good nchance to help out the enviroment and save different animals. the large amount of ice could help recool the water. it could take 3 weeks to over a month
