This scientist believes that the Yeti is related to an ancient polar bear according to the Oxford geneticist. The Yeti has believed to come from two things. An unknown animal mummy in the Himalayas, and another animal found in Bhutan. He took DNA from both and thinks he found a 100% match. I myself believe in this, what about you guys?

  • Good topic but a bit brief on the summary and not enough replies to people's comments.

  • I don't really believe in this but it could be possible. I kinda do hope it is true because it's really interesting to me. Hopefully the Sasquatch is found to.

    • I agree with you for the Squatch, but Alec you have to believe.

  • The sounds like quite the deal. I think that if this scientist thinks this is a perfect match then he should try to get other scientist on his side. I think if he finds a team of scientist they will be able to take some huge steps in finding if such a thing like the Yeti really does or can exist.

    • Sounds like a great idea. Even if they found that it is real nobody will believe I don't think.

  • Maybe~ Sometimes the news is true, sometimes not, i can't tell

  • thats pretty cool that they did that much research and testing to find out. but yeah i think our best match is the polar bear

  • I guess it would make sense for as there were multiple Ice Ages in the history of the Earth, which would make it possible for the ancestors of Polar Bears to have lived in areas of the planet which are now far too hot for a Polar Bear. With how our technology can match specific genes to those of other species is amazing, and this could finally approve or disprove the existence of the Yeti.

  • I'm not sure if I believe this because no one has proved that the yeti actually exists. It would be cool if they are related to polar bears though.

  • I think that this story could very well be true. It is very possible that polar bears used to live in the Himalayas since they are covered in snow year round, and they cover such a large area.
