Jacob Barnett is a 14 year old with what has been said, an IQ higher than Einstein's. After Jacob was diagnosed with ADD this doctors and teachers said that he might not even be able to learn to tie his shoes. When Jacob wasn't in therapy session his mother said he was doing amazing things such as making maps out of Q-tips of places they have been. Jacob dropped out of elementary school in 5th grade, his memory allowed him to take university classes after taking high school math in 2 weeks. Jacob started taking college classes at age 8 and is on track to graduate from college at 14.
I personally think his story is amazing and wonderful. Anyone with that much intelligence should be celebrated. what do you guys think of Jacob Barnett's story?

Great job Shea!
I don't really think ADD is a reason to put him in special ed
I agree if it is manageable he shouldn't be put in special ed.
That is an amazing story of how someone can over come their problems, It is crazy to thing that most people 14 years of age are now freshmen, But this kid is going to graduate college then.
Isn't it amazing? To think about how much brain power he must have compared to regular freshman students is mind-blowing.
We learned about this last year in English, and we even watched the 60 Minutes about him. He has a very good memory. It seems like a lot of kids who have a mental handicap turn out to be really smart. Albert Einstein's parents and teacher thought the same thing about him until he was 3.
I thought this story was really interesting. I'm glad you guys did learn about him and what he has done. That last point is very true. If payed attention to, people will notice that kids with ADD, ADHD, and even Autism have extremely wonderful talents.
I think this is really cool that he has an IQ higher than Einstein's. I think that it is awesome that he is said to graduate COLLEGE already at age 14.
It's pretty amazing that someone can be that smart, but other people are pretty smart to and they don't get celebrated so he shouldn't be the only one that does.
I think it's amazing how intelligent he is, and yes, he should definitely be celebrated. It doesn't matter if he has ADD, my siblings both do and they are very capable of almost everything they do. I hope he is given the chance to do something great with his life.
