  • Where is your link to the story?
  • Just agree, and say this is my gang symbol. then maybe she won't take it off because she might feel threatened.
  • yah! I dont' think that's right! I had a cross necklace as a girl...so what?!?! I agree with Teresa that if it was part of a bad city then it could be a gang symbol...but still! Tone it down a bit everyone and take a chill pill! :)
  • I've NEVER heard of a cross being a gang symbol? And i highly doubt if it's a little girl she would be involved in a gang anyways.. Religion is one of our rights were able to express, and now they're takin that away? Seriously?!
  • Well of course they are going too far!! It's just a necklace!!! It's just a little girl, why would they think that a little girl would be in a gang?? I mean, granted, she could be in a gang when she was older but she SHOULDN'T be!! But that doesn't mean that she's in a gang now!!!!
  • Its a cross, a cross doesnt represent a gang. Thats just ridiculous! I would wear it no matter what they said.
  • I would wear my necklace one way or another. Freedom of religion is one of our freedoms. Even if it doesn't have to deal with religion the school should let her wear her cross necklace.
  • they are going to far, its just a necklace who cares
  • dude its just a necklace but i agree with Teresa it does depend on what part of the city you are in.
  • Why are schools being so stupid about stuff like that? A cross necklace is a symbol for gangs? Last time I checked a cross was to represent Jesus.
