A new private school in Chicago is to be named after Barack Obama. The school will be named Barack Obama College Preparatory High School and will be open in 2017. Barack Obama College Preparatory High School is expected to have a little under 300 students in the first freshman class to go through the school. I think that this is a good idea for the school to be named after our first African American president, because a lot of our past presidents get things named after them.

I know that many schools across the nation are named after presidents but I don't think that one should be named after Obama because I don't felt that he has done enough for this country to deserve it.

I think that it's great the Obama will have a school named after him, because he is the first African-American president, which is huge for the US.
I think this is fine. I guess I do not see it as a bad thing but at the same time it is not a great thing to me. Also the name is very long so I think they should reconsider it.
I think things should be named after someone once they are older or dead to give them more honor. Naming something after someone who is still living is kind of a weird thing to do these days.
I think every president deserves to have something named after him, whether he is a good president or a bad president. I think it is cool that the school is in chicago and that is where he is from.
