School Food Reforms

Michelle Obama's healthy food thing is being reformed today dealing with school lunch guidelines. School lunches have always had guidelines but Michelle is making them better for the students.

A lot of people have been against this, but when there are 200-300 lb middle schoolers, this is probably one of the best things to happen to the schools in the US.

What do you think?

  • i think its good and bad. like eating healthy is good but there isnt that many healthy foods and once you make them good they just turn gross
  • i think the schools should have both options, but always thinking more about the healthy than the not healthy. here in USA this is one of the things that i think its not good.. the food is good but many times not healthy
    • what do you consider not healthy?

  • They say that even our lunch is "healthy" but you can't tell me that the food we get served at lunch can be qualified as healthy. I never really see any changes in our lunches every time Michelle Obama does  these reforms. Another problem is that kids are just going to go home and eat junk and it will out weigh the "healthy" food we eat at school. Instead they need to teach these kids the right and wrongs of eating!

  • I dont think it really matters because first cooks dont even make good meals anyways. And the kids will probably just throw away the food anyways so whats the point. And some people like the way they are and dont wanna chance so why make them? I say we have both choices healthy and "not healthy" and what ever we want to choose we can eat. And the kids weighting so much is because they dont eat healthy at home so whats the point of changing one meal of the day?
  • It's not the school's fault that these kids are 200-300 lbs. It's their own and their parents fault. And I don't see it being to effective because what's going to stop these kids from going home and eating the most unhealthy foods they can find? At least if they had a decent tasting lunch, they might not go home and do that... Hopefully...
  • I think it's our right as Americans to be able to eat whatever we want and not have someone tell us what we can and can't eat at school. If someone wants to eat healthy then they can go right ahead but if someone wants chips over an apple it's there choice.
  • i think schools lunch arnt that good and the cooks cant cook that good so this wil make it worse
  • School luch is already not the greatest this will make it worse.
    • Ours is much better than a lot of other school's. Most of our stuff is homemade.
