Nine-year-old Isabel Grace Franks died at a Lincoln City, Oregon, beach on Friday, when she digging a hole in the sand authorities said. Tracey Dudley, a resident staying at a hotel near by heard screaming. "At first we thought, you know, it was just kids. But it was like screaming and screaming and screaming." "Her and her siblings were digging a big hole in the sand," Lincoln City police Sgt. Brian Eskridge said. "She was sitting inside, and the hole collapsed.
We believe she was under the sand around five minutes. Franks, her family and friends were visiting the beach from Sandy, Oregon. Police and firefighters dug her out.
Isabel was unconscious and not breathing. Emergency crews performed CPR and then transported her to hospital, where she was declared dead. Before the emergency workers arrived, beach goers had frantically tried to dig her out, but the sand kept collapsing back into the hole, Eskridge said.

I would go help the girl because maybe if a bystander had tried to help she might not have died.
I would try to help, obviously. Something else that the could have done was got as many people as they could to help and dig her out.
I would help if someone's getting berried in sand you just don't sit there in shock you go and help. Its someone's life on the line so you have to help.
Yes I would try and go help, but it was probably harder to get her out than it seems.
I would have gone over to help the child... I have been in situations much worse then this. The first time adreniline kicked in and i went into action. I don't think i would have any trouble doing this.

Yes I would totally go and try and help like you are going to hear someone screaming and you have to go and get help you just don't stand there!

If I was in major trouble for myself, I would have gone and tried to get help. For the most part I think I would be scared and in shock for the child.
