Ride turned deadly!

Two Russian men were taking a ride in a giant inflatable ball over in a ski resort. As they were going down the hill, the ball rolled off course and flew over a rocky edge. The two men were both conscious after they flew out of the ball and able to go back up to the top of the hill with the help of two others. One died on the way to the hospital because of severe spinal cord injuries. The other suffers from a concussion and is still in the hospital.

It's crazy to think something you would think would be so fun and safe actually can turn into someone getting severely hurt or even die.

What are your thoughts?

  • I think that the two people who went on the ride should have maybe taken more precautions about the ride. I also think the ride owners or company should have made sure that couldn't have happened. The ride owners should have tested all of that.

  • Well this doesnt sound safe in the first place. but really if you think about it anything you do can result in something bad happening or death.

  • This is crazy! I wonder if they could sue the people for this accident or if they signed like a medical waiver before they got on the ride?

  • i think that this is crazy.  It kinda makes you think twice about some of the "safe" "fun" events.

  • It's probably not such a smart idea to role somebody down a mountian in a ball. Did they really think this could have had a good ending?

    • I think they were in the "lets do something fun and nothing will happen to us" moment...

  • Wow. People should definitely be more cautious.. This just shows how fun can turn bad really fast.. My question is why they didn't make the slope safer? I mean its just a cleared out path in the snow. They should put up some kind of safety fence or something. The family of the man who passed and the man in the coma (assuming he hopefully pulls through) should definitely sue those people.. That is just very unprofessional.

  • I think this is so tragic. However, whenever doing in thing lately death is probable.
