QAnon is a far right wing conspiracy theory. The supporters of this conspiracy truly believe that satan worshiping democrats are running a child sex ring, and Donald trump is the hero who is silently working to stop them, which I think is ironic considering that 26 women have accused him of sexual misconduct. He has also said some pretty gross things about his daughter, Ivanka, including, “If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her,” “She’s got a really nice body,” and the time when Howie Mendel called Ivanka a “Piece of a**,” and Trump quickly agreed. He has also referred to his own daughter as “Hot.” There are also allegations that Trump walked into a Miss Teen USA pageant dressing room where girls were as young as 15. QAnon has alleged that there is going to be a day called “The Storm,” where thousands of democrats are going to be arrested by Donald Trump. They believe that this is not theory, but fact. No, I am not joking. You can’t not make this stuff up.
Well known left wing politicians that QAnon alledges are involved in this sex trafficing ring include Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and invester George Soros. There are even QAnon supporters that are running to be representatives, like Majorie Taylor Greene. A lot of politicians have also shared baseless QAnon conspiracies on social media, where thousands of their supporters are exposed to this crazy conspiracy theory. Social media is also a big reason why this conspiracy has gotten so much attention. QAnon has been around for a while, but during this lockdown, many people discovered it on social media, specifically facebook. Many older people spend much of their time on this app; incidentally, they are the main supporters of this conspiracy. QAnon targets older people and mothers. These people share these crazy conspiracies with their friends on facebook, who then do the same. QAnon uses pedophilia to push their political agenda on vulnerable people, which I beleive is sad and pathetic. I find it disgusting how QAnon uses pedophilia and sex trafficing, which are both horrible and very serious, to boost their radical views. It confuses me how these insane accusations have spread so far and how many people genuinely believe them. It seems unreal, but what I do know for sure is that you can not just accuse your political opponents of pedophilia without ANY form of concrete proof.
What do you think about QAnon?
Why do you think so many people believe this?

I don't think you comprehended what I wrote.
I think all the theories are pretty far fetched. I do however think that there are a lot of higher up politicians that are in child sex rings no doubt, not all democrats though. QAnon is just a group started by way too supportive trump followers. i think the main reason it has gotten so popular and so many people believe it is just cause theyre trying to place the blame on someone. The people that believe it just want to find an end to sex trafficking and place their fingers at someone to get some sort of validation. therefore they believe whatever semi logical thing is presented to them.
I agree that there are a lot of rich and powerfull people that do horrible things. Look at Jefree Epstein and all of the celebrities that were involvolved in that situation. It's terrifying when you think about how many other people could be doing things like that.
I think QAnon is made up. I think there are a lot of people beliving it because they don't like Trump and they are trying to say stuff to get him out of office. There are a lot of people out there that belive anything they read or hear.

There is ample evidence that Barak Obama and the Clintons have done some horribe things, and I would never endorse them, or ever vote for them, but I don't know if I beleive that they worship satan. They do things that I don't agree with and push ridiculous agendas, sure, but I don't think they are inherently evil. Even if it were true, the Qanon allegations wouldn't be able to be proven, so I don't see the point of pursuing them.
I'm interested what they do that you dissagree with so much. What ridiculous agendas do they push? I also think that it would be incredibly difficult to take down such powerfull people, but look what happened to Epstein. Anything can happen.
I think QAnon is further proof that people will believe anything that is thrown at them as long as it agrees with their political beliefs. I feel as though QAnon is also targeted towards people who do not tend to research and fact check what they are being brainwashed with. This is just republican propaganda to make democrats seem worse, and they're doing it with very poor taste because sexual assault and child sex ring accusations are very, extremely heavy. It's totally normal for people to come up with things to make the opposite political party seem worse, but this is an extreme way to do that.
I one hundread percent agree. People act like the leaders of their political parties are gods. I think that it is important to notice and call out problems in your own party and not just go along with everything they say, and act like all of their faults don't exist. For example, I know about the questionable things that Biden has done in his past. I acknowlegde them. I think that is very important.
I believe that QAnon is completely made up for Republican propoganda so that people will vote for trump. I think that people believe in this sort of thing because, well people are stupid, People literally believe in a flat earth because of a map of the world.
