A purple squirrel was found and some of its hairs have been sent to a lab for analysis. The squirrel doesn't seem to be suffering from any disease and appears healthy (besides the purple color of its fur) Also, the people studying him say that their is no evidence that his fur was dyed.

Yeah someone pry dyed it because i don't think there is such a thing of a purple squirrel. The picture isn't enough so i'll believe it when I truly see it.
maybe its a genetic mutation? i think that thats not natural and its also kinda funny!

Thats kinda sad because it might have hurt him or something to be dyed. Who knows. But I think it would be really cool to have a purple squirrel. Even better, a purple horse would be awesome. And I wonder why purple? not orange or green or something
That is really weird. I wonder why it is purple. As long as it is healthy it should be released back to the wild. hopefully they can find out why it's purple maybe a new species.
That's cool. I wish I had a purple squirrel, brown gets old. Every once in a while I see a black squirrel, which is neat.
that is so funny! i bet someone took it and dyed the fur... cause people are freaks like that. but i would love to have a purple squirrel!
