Pregnancy and child support

I am watching Teen Mom right now and one of the girls are taking their ex-boyfriend to court for child support. My mom brought up how a girl/woman can choose whether or not to keep the baby. (or put it up for adoption) The woman has a choice. Why shouldn't the boy/man have a choice whether or not to pay child support?

I'm kind of on both sides of the conversation. I think that the woman should have a choice, no doubt, and if the man was still with the woman when she had the baby that he should have to pay child support even if he leaves after she has that baby. But, if the man was not in the womans life for any reason before the baby was born, it would be totally the womans choice whether or not to have the baby. I think in that case that the man should not have to pay child support.

I think he should have to be able to pay for child support because its not only her child, its his two!

i was watching teen mom last night and i was thinking about that. i feel like he should pay for child support, its his kid too.

i think that if he is spending time with the baby and stuff like that i think he should have to pay some child support. i think that it was their choice to keep the baby adn since they both see he neeeds to pitch in and help her out.

I am watching Teen Mom right now to and personally I think that it is fair that he has to pay for some of the child support. I think that becasue it is his child to, and he takes the baby on weekends and everything. It's only fair that he pays some of the child support.
